NORTH - Key Persons

Angela Campbell

Job Titles:
  • IT Support Technician
My job is to assist colleagues with their IT problems. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new equipment and the day-to-day management of our IT Help Desk. When I started this role, North's hugely progressive culture made me feel incredibly supported, being one of the very few female IT Support Engineers, especially at the mature age of 51. The company has integrity at its heart and has a strong focus on development, so, naturally, I felt immediately at home with what some may say was a brave career change after 27 years in Education. I feel part of the hugely supportive team who are enterprising, wonderfully patient, and incredibly professional. I'm privileged to be part of such inspirational leadership and exceptional growth and am excited to see what the future brings in the wonderful world of technology at North.

Ben Gould

Job Titles:
  • Data Engineering Apprentice
I am completing my studies while achieving certifications in related fields like Copper & Fibre Cabling and First Aid. Problem-solving is undoubtedly the most important skill I've learned during my apprenticeship. Every day, we find solutions and make changes to what needs to be done, always remaining flexible and agile as we work to improve things. No two days are ever the same. Every job is different, and you get to work in a variety of settings, from the military to large corporations. I have a good relationship with my Engineering Lead, so I'm gaining experience and learning from a Senior Engineer who is teaching me a variety of skills, tips, and tricks. I'm learning lots of different things from different people who are mentoring me to develop my own way of doing things. The best part about working at North is the communication. Everyone has been extremely supportive of the apprenticeship, with regular check-ins to see how I'm doing.

Every day, I work alongside an experienced Engineer to learn how they work and who teaches and shows you how to perfect your skills to help with my development and see what I can bring to the table. The team I work with are very friendly. What I like most about working at North is that I'm learning a whole new set of skills that will influence my future career path.
