At Birdwell we support children to become independent learners through our broad and balanced curriculum. Our teaching is vibrant and engaging, and we aim to create a learning environment that ensures our children have access to high quality resources that enable them to have the best possible start to their educational journey... Our extensive facilities include a forest school, woodland teaching spaces, sports fields and pitches, playground huts, spacious classrooms, brightly painted buildings and specialist IT equipment... We are a stand-alone academy, which means that I, together with the Board of Trustees (governors), are fully responsible for the decisions that affect our school. All of our decision-making focuses on supporting children to reach their potential and become happy, enthusiastic and lifelong learners. We put our children, staff, families and local community first, and I am proud of how well our team work together.
