Trained at the University of Georgia School of Environmental Design, five year Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA) 1973. Received the Stanley Smith Horticultural Exchange Fellowship for post graduate study, University of Reading (1973-74). Full membership of the Landscape Institute 1976. Worked as Landscape Architect at Derek Lovejoy and Partners for 18 months before joining the Greater London Council for nine years until 1986. Team leader in charge of over 40 projects. Civic Trust, Brick Development Association, RICS and various housing organisation awards. Joined Russell Hanslip Associates in 1986 as part-time Landscape Architect servicing Practice architectural schemes and running an individual portfolio of landscape schemes. Major clients: Mercury One 2 One (now T-Mobile), LVMH.

Nicholas Weedon

Trained at Canterbury School of Architecture 1980-1986. Runner up in 1985 RIBA International Student Competition, scheme displayed at Royal Academy of Arts. Contributed to two editions of Traditional Kent Buildings published by the School's Vernacular Studies Unit. Practical training year in a multi-disciplinary commercial practice, JF+P Group, in Brisbane, Australia. Worked as a project architect on residential, commercial and historic building projects in a private practice in London 1986-1990. Undertook the Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings conservation course. Worked on commercial, residential and transport sector buildings in Germany, based in Munich from 1991-1998. Joined Russell Hanslip Associates in 1998, helping to implement IT systems, and became an Associate in 2000. Included on the AABC Architects Accredited in Building Conservation Register in 2004.

Russell Hanslip

Trained at Northern Polytechnic, London 1963-69 and qualified as an architect in 1970. After working in public and private offices in London, took up residence in Nassau, Bahamas in 1972, running a practice for three years. On returning to London in 1975 he joined the commercial practice of Peter Ednie & Partners in Gray's Inn, becoming a partner in the following year. In 1985 he set up Russell Hanslip Associates in North London. After merging with a practice in Chichester in 2007, it was renamed HMDW Architects.

Worked in private practice for three firms since 1986, schemes include commercial offices, community facilities, halls of residence, churches, restaurant, domestic and restoration. Worked on a winning submission in an invited competition for student accommodation at Brasenose College, Oxford in 1993 which has since been completed. Joined Russell Hanslip Associates in December 1993 and became an Associate of Russell Hanslip Associates in 1998. Included on the AABC Architects Accredited in Building Conservation Register in 2004.
