Abi Sampson

Abi Sampson (she/her) is a first-generation Pinay immigrant with 15+years' experience in office management and executive administrative roles. She is excited to be supporting the PECMHF by helping to foster strong communities through connection, compassion and care. Abi is a people person who is no stranger to not-for-profit structures, having sat on numerous Boards for various patient support, education, social justice and advocacy organizations. Helping others is her passion, which began in adolescence as a hospital volunteer, and Abi has carried this passion throughout her career. When she is not in her administrative groove, you can find Abi in the stained glass studio, baking, gardening or noodling around on the ukulele.

Don Rodney

Don Rodney worked in the Canadian banking industry for 24 years. He lived and worked in many cities across Canada during this period, including Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. The last position he held was Senior Vice President of Real Estate for North American Trust Company. Don co-founded an investment company in Toronto in 1994, the RFA Group. Don retired to the County with his wife Jane in 2015. RFA is now run by his son Ben and Don's role today is purely in an advisory capacity. Since retiring to the County, Don and his wife Jane have contributed to many local fundraisers. Don is a member of Picton Golf and Country Club where he is a member of the handicap committee. Don enjoys the people, the pace of life and the ambience in the County.

Dr. Andrew Janikowski

Dr. Andrew Janikowski is a long-time, well-known resident of Picton. He is retired from his practice as a family doctor and member of the medical team at the hospital. He has been deeply involved in the hospital and healthcare in The County since moving here in 1979. Now he would like to continue to do that through the mission of the foundation. Andy is a member of the Picton Rotary Club.

Peggy Payne

Peggy Payne has 33 years' experience in education, mainly with the Toronto District School Board but also in England and Australia. She has worked as a teacher, a Special Education Consultant, Vice Principal and Principal.

Peter Brady - Chief Legal Officer

Peter Brady is General Counsel of global mining company Vale's, Base Metals division. Peter grew up just outside of Belleville before moving to attend University, graduate school, and law school. Peter and his wife Hannah Turner have two children. The family has a home on Smiths Bay near Black River in Prince Edward County. Peter believes we must give back and support those in our community and beyond. Prince Edward County and the surrounding area are connected to his family roots and home. Peter wants to be able to use the skills he has acquired in his profession and in life to, in some small measure, benefit our community.

Shannon Coull

Shannon is a proud resident of Prince Edward County. When not working, Shannon can be found out on a body of water sailing, spending time with her family or working in the garden. The Finance Committee shall make recommendations on the foundation's budget, investments, fund allocation, review of finances and audit reports. This may include negotiation of the fees and changes of the auditors and investment advisors, the setting of annual financial goals and objectives, along with all other foundation matters with financial implications. Selected for their interest and expertise in fundraising, marketing, event planning, and related fields; among whose functions shall be to liaise with and support the staff team. PECMHF has assembled a strong team of prominent leaders in business, health care and the community to spearhead the effort to raise $16.5M to help build Prince Edward County's new hospital. These community champions have been playing an important role in supporting the Back the Build campaign to solicit and secure meaningful gifts for the project.

Steve Geist

Steve Geist retired from CIBC in 2017 where he was Senior Executive Vice President and Group Head, CIBC Wealth Management. Prior to that role, he was President and CEO of CIBC Asset Management and also held positions with TD Asset Management, Fidelity Investments and Price Waterhouse. Steve serves on the Board of the Ontario Financing Authority, and is also the Chair of the Capital Sector Audit Committee for the Province. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and also holds the ICD.D designation. He and his family have had a home in PEC for almost 20 years.

Sue Vincent

Shannon is the Executive Director of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation. In addition to ensuring the County hospital is equipped with the medical equipment it needs on an annual basis, Shannon is overseeing a $16.5M fundraising campaign which will result in a new hospital for Prince Edward County. Before starting her role with PECMHF in 2018, Shannon was the Director of Leadership Philanthropy for the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation and helped the Foundation to secure over $67M toward the Extraordinary People, Innovative Health Care campaign. Shannon received her Certified Fund Raising Executive designation in 2016, is the Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Southeastern Ontario and an active member of the Rotary Club of Picton. Shannon's career as a fundraiser began in 1986. She has worked on several fundraising campaigns with many organizations throughout her career including the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, the Royal Ontario Museum, the University of Toronto's, School of Medicine and Queen's University's Faculty of Health Sciences.
