In 2015, Quai Smith graduated from Klein Collins High School and attended Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Texas where she played two years of basketball. She Graduated with her Associates Degree and transferred to Sam Houston State University where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Communication Studies and Psychology. After graduation, she plans on attending Law School. Quai Smith was the President of the Student organization Pay-it-forward in which they volunteered & teamed with other organizations to create and run events for Foster kids and Families. Quai Smith believes that placing a footprint into peoples' lives whether big or small is a true accomplishment and goal she plans to reach.

Steven Banes joined the United States Army in October 2004 and served two combat tours overseas. In 2010, Steven transferred from the regular Army to the Texas National Guard to complete his obligation. In 2010. Steven also went straight back to school at Sam Houston State University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History and Communication Studies. Subsequently, Steven continued his education and graduated from South Texas College of Law. Steven has volunteered as the Vice-President of Orphan Care Solutions of Texas, Vice-President of the Montgomery County Child Welfare/CPS Boards, and Election Chair of the Texas Foster Care Association. Steven's passion is to help foster children and the families who care for them.
