Adam brings both industry expertise and public sector acumen to his role, in which he manages the operations of BlueHub's foreclosure relief program, BlueHub SUN.
Adam has over 20 years' experience in the mortgage industry in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Prior to BlueHub, Adam worked as a housing counselor, for a mortgage brokerage and as a fair housing investigator with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Adam graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with bachelor's degrees in economics and Japanese. He also holds a master's of public affairs from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Adam's Massachusetts mortgage loan officer license number is NMLS #317331.

Andrew has over 25 years of operations experience leading professional and nonprofit organizations through growth and transitions. Prior to BlueHub, he was a Product Manager with Dovetail Health, was the COO of ASV Technologies (a bank fraud solutions developer), and an investment banker with Adams, Harkness & Hill, where he completed over 40 financial and strategic advisory engagements.
Andrew has a bachelor's degree in economics from Dartmouth College, a Boston University Nonprofit Management Certification '17 and a Project Management Certification. He is also a LeadBoston '13 and serves on the boards of several Boston-area nonprofits.

Anne leads marketing, engagement and partnership strategy for One Percent for America (OPA). She is responsible for strategic planning and initiatives, expanding awareness, membership and relationships with organizations advancing and benefiting from OPA's mission.
Anne is a marketing leader who creates community and connections for mission-focused organizations cultivating societal change. She has led marketing and strategic partnerships for organizations, including Harvard University, FIRST Robotics, Stonyfield Organic, LEGO Education and Disney.
Anne holds a BA in English from the University of Massachusetts. Her passion for community-building and social impact is informed by her Cuban roots, a strong belief in the American Dream and a commitment to public service.
Ariana is responsible for the data collection, management and analysis of BlueHub's impact practice. She evaluates the social impact associated with lending by ensuring the completeness and accuracy of data.
Before joining BlueHub, Ariana worked as a District Office Manager for a member of the NY State Assembly in Albany. She was responsible for constituent case management and external stakeholder communications, and assisted with legislative research priorities.
Ariana holds a BA in political science from Hartwick College and an MPA with a concentration in public policy and nonprofit organizational theory from SUNY Albany.

Arunabha oversees portfolio management, loan operations and servicing, and construction loan management in support of the Loan Fund's community development work.
Arunabha has over 12 years of experience in community organizing, affordable housing development and asset management. He most recently served as the Deputy Director of the Mutual Housing Association of New York where he increased and improved access to affordable housing and commercial space and worked to maintain and improve the physical and financial health of a portfolio of more than 2,500 units of housing across New York City.
Arunabha holds a Master of Science in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from The New School in New York City and a BA in Economics from Brandeis University.

Autumn is responsible for the strategic planning and daily implementation of BlueHub's public relations, government relations, marketing efforts and brand management. She oversees internal and external communications across all of BlueHub's programs, establishes and maintains relationships with elected officials and serves as a strategic thought partner for senior management.
Autumn has been working at the intersection of media, community and government for over 10 years. She comes to BlueHub from Northwind Strategies, a public relations firm where she developed communications campaigns for nonprofits, small businesses and advocacy initiatives. Prior to that, she worked in the Massachusetts State Senate.
Bessie is responsible for ensuring the voice and brand of One Percent for America is accurately represented and shared across multiple platforms to reach borrowers, the public and investors.
Before coming to BlueHub, Bessie worked as a digital media manager for corporate organizations and as general manager for her mother's restaurant, Villa México Café. In response to COVID-19, she helped create Massachusetts Restaurants United, a nonprofit that advocates for the survival of local independent restaurants through the pandemic and beyond. She is also involved in other causes, including the Alzheimer Association. In 2023, Bessie was selected by the Boston Business Journal as a 40 under 40 awardee.
Bessie holds a BA from Northeastern University in journalism and communication and an MS in digital media from Columbia University. She is a first-generation Mexican American.

Brenda works with members of the senior management team to build on the strength of BlueHub's existing programs, while developing new strategies and products consistent with our mission. She works closely with each business line to increase collaboration and efficiency and enable growth.
Previously, Brenda was the National Director of Community Development Finance and Commercial Banking at Amalgamated Bank. She oversaw affordable housing and community facilities investments, economic development initiatives and environmental justice projects. She has also worked as a community development practitioner at Nonprofit Finance Fund and Citi Community Capital.
Brenda has an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
BlueHub's COO Brenda Loya said citizenship application fees can add up quickly, especially when several members of a family need to pay the $725 fee. "Families make choices on where they spend their money. If times are tight, it's possible that they won't take the step," said Loya.

Cynthia is a product management and digital marketing professional with over 25 years of experience. Throughout her career her work has been anchored in performance metrics and value creation. Her experience with organizations ranges from start-ups to well-established. Most recently, as an Agency Managing Director, she oversaw the inbound and content marketing digital consulting services for world-class brands such as the Mayo Clinic, Facebook, eBay and Crate and Barrel.

Dan is responsible for collecting documentation and processing files for underwriting, assisting in preparation of loan documents and responding to customer service inquiries.

Deeba has 10 years of experience building and scaling businesses within the healthcare, housing and financial industries. She comes to BlueHub from RiseBoro Community Partnership, where she managed the development of $400M+ in affordable housing projects.
Deeba holds a master's in narrative medicine from Columbia University and a BA from Wellesley College. She is a first-generation American, raised by Iranian and Honduran immigrants.

DeWitt (Dick) was BlueHub's first employee and has served as a member of its leadership team since 1985. Under his guidance, BlueHub Energy brings the benefits and cost savings of clean energy to affordable housing and community facilities.
Prior to BlueHub, he was Executive Director of the Massachusetts Urban Reinvestment Advisory Group and served as a VISTA volunteer. He was a founding member of Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) and board member from 1988-1996. Matt's background in financial services and real estate exceeds 40 years; he brings proven expertise in the field to his work at BlueHub. Prior to joining BlueHub, Matt worked at FleetBoston Financial or its affiliates. He has held various positions in commercial real estate, financial and loan operations.

Elyse Cherry has served as the CEO of BlueHub Capital since 1997. Under Cherry's leadership, BlueHub has invested over $2.6 billion, leveraged an additional $13.6 billion, and built a national tax credit practice to: finance affordable housing, health centers, schools and other community facilities; provide foreclosure relief through the creation of a mortgage lender aimed at stabilizing urban neighborhoods; create jobs; benchmark and drive down energy and utility costs; promote resiliency; and remove financial barriers to US citizenship.
Cherry is a former partner at the law firm of Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale), where her national transactional practice focused on multi-family and commercial real estate finance and development, affordable housing and open space preservation.
An active civic and business leader, Cherry is a member of the Wellesley College Board of Trustees, the Board of Advisors of Eastern Bank, and Chair of the Board of the Forsyth Institute. She is also on the Board of Directors of The Boston Foundation, where she co-chairs the Advisory Committee for The Equality Fund -- a fund supporting Greater Boston nonprofits that strengthen the LGBTQ community.

Previously, Emily was the Director of Community Capital of Vermont, a CDFI financing low-income entrepreneurs in Vermont, and Program Officer at Counterpart International in Washington, D.C., providing support to entrepreneurs and nonprofits in the former Soviet Union. She was a founding member of a food co-op initiative, a board member of the Central Vermont Community Land Trust and a volunteer with the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program.

Ena manages all aspects of providing commercial lending services to a diverse portfolio of borrowers nationwide, focusing on developers of affordable housing, operators of K-12 public charter schools and community health centers.
For more than a decade, Ena has worked in community development finance, in areas including underwriting, business development, and project management at Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Nonprofit Finance Fund and two9three consulting.
Ena holds a Master of City and Regional Planning with a concentration in community and economic development from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and a BA from Northwestern University.

Erin helps plan and execute BlueHub's overall external relations goals. She is responsible for maintaining the website, coordinating social media activities, assisting with database management, reporting to and communicating with investors and donors, and providing support for the investor relations and communications operations.
Before coming to BlueHub, Erin worked for the Marketing and Communications Office at Clark University. In this role, she created content for the university's website and social media platforms. Erin has also worked for the nonprofit Conservation International as a Foundation Relations intern.
Erin holds an MBA from Clark University with a concentration in sustainability and social change, and a BA in business management, also from Clark.
Galina works with the BlueHub Loan Fund's lending team and is responsible for overseeing the construction financing portfolio and ensuring that construction projects get completed on time and within budget. She manages all aspects of construction loan review, from loan closing to construction completion.
Previously, she worked as a Construction Services Specialist at Great Southern Bank in Springfield, MO. Before moving to the United States, Galina lived and worked in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom and Russia.
Galina holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research (Almaty, Kazakhstan).
Jacky supports all aspects of the Loan Fund's lending program. He works with a diverse set of borrowers, including real estate developers, charter school and community health center operators, and nonprofit and social enterprises serving low-income families and communities. He helps manage risk by actively monitoring the financial performance of a portfolio of loans, and plays an integral role in loan closings, loan administration, loan disbursements and loan operations.
Before joining BlueHub, Jacky worked at Canada Life Insurance as a senior analyst at their mortgage investment division, specializing in commercial real estate assets across Canada.
Jacky holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in finance from Concordia University in Montreal.

Jason has more than 10 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, fund operation and loan portfolio management. Before coming to BlueHub, Jason worked at GL Capital Partner and Sachems Financial, LLC as an Assistant Vice President in Finance. In this role, he oversaw corporate accounting functions and managed two funds and a loan portfolio.

Johvanna has nearly two decades of lending experience. She has worked in retail banking, commercial lending, mortgage lending, and most recently as a Senior Loan Officer with Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC). At PCDC, she assembled more than $110 million in capital to expand access to healthcare across the country.
Johvanna received a bachelor of science in finance from Louisiana State University, and a master of business administration from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.

Jonathan brings experience working at TD Bank in loss mitigation, at a private law firm as a real estate closing coordinator, and at Social Service Coordinators, where he implemented outreach strategies to reach low-income Medicare beneficiaries regarding maintaining their benefits.

As Negotiations Manager, Justin oversees the purchase of residential properties that are ultimately sold back to the original homeowners for BlueHub's foreclosure relief initiative, BlueHub SUN. As Staff Attorney for SUN, he also researches regulatory requirements, performs title examinations, resolves title problems and prepares and records real estate documents. In addition, Justin participates in outreach efforts to attorneys, housing counselors and real estate brokers.
Justin brings a wealth of experience in consumer credit and debt issues. Prior to BlueHub, Justin practiced law at a firm representing consumer debtors in Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy, during which he advocated for clients in court as they worked to resolve a wide variety of financial difficulties.
Justin graduated from Suffolk Law School and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with a BA in political science.

Karen has spent her career working to improve outcomes for underserved communities through lending and community development. As President of the Loan Fund, Karen oversees more than $100 million in annual lending and manages a $670 million portfolio of community development loans. She is responsible for new business development, loan originations, credit quality, portfolio management, impact measurement, financial self-sufficiency, innovative loan products and programs, partnerships and capitalization.
Prior to BlueHub, Karen served as LISC Boston's executive director, and as Deputy Director and chief business officer at MassHousing. She is a member of the board of the Partnership for Financial Equity and a member of the Massachusetts Coalition for Racial Equity in Housing.
Karen attended Boston College and Georgetown University Law Center. She is a licensed attorney and member of the Massachusetts Bar.

Kathryn is responsible for marketing, underwriting and closing loans. She has deep expertise in housing, charter schools and commercial projects, including debt for NMTC projects. Kathryn has worked in community development for more than three decades. Previous work includes real estate development, grant writing and affordable housing programming and policy development. She has shared her expertise on many community and school boards. She currently serves on the Mascoma Community Development NMTC Advisory Board and CSTO 2020 Charitable Trust, and volunteers as a 4th-grade religious educator.

Lisa oversees BlueHub's financial management and planning. She also manages investor relations, marketing and communications and compliance as part of senior management.
She joined the organization in 2005 as Senior Finance Consultant. Prior to BlueHub, Lisa was the CFO of a publicly traded company with $300 million in revenues, where she oversaw the company's financial reporting and compliance, treasury and investor relations, and co-managed IT and facilities. She recently completed nine years on the Finance Committee of the Town of Needham, during which she served as both Chair and Vice Chair. She has also served on the Boards of Directors and Audit Committees of two publicly traded companies.
Lisa has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College and received her CPA in 1984.

Shelley manages and maintains procedures and internal controls related to a complex set of commercial transactions for BlueHub Loan Fund. She is responsible for closing and funding loans in coordination with loan officers, the portfolio management team and other stakeholders.
Shelley comes to BlueHub after seven years with South Carolina Community Loan Fund where she was a portfolio manager. She has more than 15 years of experience in the corporate and real estate legal field.

Lorraine helps guide applicants to BlueHub's foreclosure relief program, BlueHub SUN, through the underwriting phase of the application process. She reviews applications for approval and determines what is needed to keep families in their homes.
Lorraine has over 25 years' experience in the mortgage industry. She began as a part time post closer at the age of 17 and worked her way through the ranks at a wide range of financial institutions, including larger banks like Wells Fargo and Citi Bank and smaller broker shops and credit unions.
Lorraine is a board member and volunteer for Harvey's Hope Animal Rescue, a New England-based dog rescue center.

Lubna oversees human resources, talent management, inclusive excellence initiatives and administration in support of BlueHub's various business lines, and plans for future growth and innovation.
Lubna has 20 years of experience in impact investing and social enterprise. She founded the New England Impact Investing Initiative, a nonprofit striving to democratize access to education about impact investing and diversify the talent pipeline for the sector. Before joining BlueHub, Lubna served in a variety of fundraising and operational leadership positions at social enterprise organizations.

Prior to joining BlueHub Capital, Mariel worked for 18 years as a Mortgage Loan Coordinator at the corporate office of Marriott Vacation in Orlando, FL. She gained most of her knowledge with the mortgage banking and lending industry through their timeshare program.

Michele supports Human Resources functions at BlueHub, and has many years of experience skillfully managing administrative duties and reception for her colleagues at the organization to ensure office operations run smoothly.
Before coming to BlueHub, Michele worked for the Boston Foundation as an Administrative Coordinator, helping coordinate facility and event operations for the organization. Michele is active in her community and volunteers her time serving on the board of directors for a tenant organization. In this role, she serves as tenant representative to help ensure that the interests of both owners and tenants are considered in the association decision-making process.

Natalie is a seasoned marketing professional who is passionate about making a positive impact on the community. Since 2020, she has owned a video production business that collaborates with nonprofit organizations to share their work and mission. Prior to that, she was Digital Communications Manager at BAMSI, a large human service nonprofit in Massachusetts.

Natasha is the first point of contact for BlueHub Capital and is responsible for responding to incoming calls and visitors, and general office support across departments.
Natasha has over 15 years of experience in the customer service industry. She is a skilled communicator and organizer, and an expert at front-office operations. Before coming to BlueHub, Natasha worked for Posternak, Blankestein & Lund LLP as a receptionist. Before that, she was a retail teller at Santander Bank.

Olga is responsible for defining and analyzing key operational and financial metrics that contribute to the success of overarching organizational goals, with a focus on influencing business strategy and operational decision making.
Olga came to BlueHub from Linden Ponds, a senior retirement community, where she worked as finance director. She oversaw all the financial operations of the community, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close as well as resident billing and bond compliance. Prior to joining Linden Ponds, Olga worked at Bank of Boston as an associate in their emerging markets group. She also has experience as a senior auditor at Ernst & Young.
Olga is a CPA with a bachelor's degree in accounting from University of Pennsylvania and master's degree in finance from Columbia Business School.

Rachel is responsible for cultivating, building and strengthening relationships with new and existing funders, as well as overseeing investor relations processes and procedures.
She brings over 10 years of experience in business development, investor relations and fundraising. She has built and managed complex funding partnerships, aligning programmatic and financial goals of funders to meet capital needs, and has facilitated the achievement of business objectives for mission-driven nonprofits, for-profit organizations and social enterprises. Prior to joining BlueHub, Rachel was the Director of Investor Relations for Root Capital.
Rachel holds an MA in international affairs from Columbia University and a BA from Colby College.

Santiago is responsible for facilitating the lending process and managing client-facing interactions. He works with internal and external entities to build partnerships that address community needs and further impact. Originally from Colombia, Santiago also serves as an in-house resource for insight on the immigration process and the positive impact citizenship can provide.
Santiago comes to One Percent for America from BlueHub's foreclosure relief program, where he led a lending team in processing mortgages.
Santiago holds a BS in Business Administration with minors in Economics and Finance from American International College. Although he immigrated from Colombia around the age of five, he considers himself proud to be a naturalized son of the United States of America.

Scott works closely with applicants to BlueHub's foreclosure relief program, BlueHub SUN, to help them navigate the mortgage process.
Scott brings years of management and customer service experience to his role. Early in his career, he served as an Operations Specialist and air controller in the Navy. He rose through the ranks to Senior Chief Petty Officer and was commissioned as an Operations Officer, serving in Desert Storm. After, Scott worked as the Assistant Adjutant and then as Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping, Assistant Chief Operations Officer and Grant Writer at the Soldiers' Home in Chelsea. He later worked as the Director of Services for Univex Inc.
During the pandemic, Scott received his MLO license (NMLS #2156884) and worked at NewFed Mortgage.
Shelley manages and maintains procedures and internal controls related to a complex set of commercial transactions for BlueHub Loan Fund. She is responsible for closing and funding loans in coordination with loan officers, the portfolio management team and other stakeholders.
Shelley comes to BlueHub after seven years with South Carolina Community Loan Fund where she was a portfolio manager. She has more than 15 years of experience in the corporate and real estate legal field.
Shelley graduated with a BA from Winthrop University and received her paralegal certificate from Trident Technical College.

Thaïna is responsible for proactively monitoring the financial performance of a portfolio of loans, contributing to continual process improvements, enhancing training tools and streamlining the portfolio management function.
Thaïna has spent over a decade advocating for fair and accessible housing in the Boston area. As a Senior Associate for the Housing Partnership Network (HPN), Thaïna managed risk for a $70 million+ loan portfolio to HPN's 100+ member network of real estate developers.

Tony is an integral member of BlueHub's Communications team and helps to execute on internal and external communications initiatives, content creation and managing digital data and analytics. He supports all of BlueHub's business lines to build awareness and reach.
Before BlueHub, Tony interned at a life sciences company where he revamped marketing strategies and crafted compelling email campaigns. Tony also worked in the Office of Communication and Marketing at Indiana State University, where he gained valuable experience in strategic campaign development and content creation.
Tony holds a BA in public relations and marketing, and an MA in human resources from Indiana State University. He is currently pursuing an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
