BusTech Pty Ltd was established in 1995 when its first bus was completed in its original Ernest, Queensland, factory. In BusTech's early years, production generally focused on producing bus bodies for European chassis from manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Scania, predominantly under their VST model line. Smaller numbers of school buses and charter/touring vehicles were also produced... In 2019, BusTech and Precision Buses transitioned their joint venture into a merger and today the two businesses operate under the BusTech Group brand.
