Daniel M. Martin

Daniel M. Martin focuses on wills and estates, real estate law, criminal law, and family law, including divorce, domestic disputes, and child custody. He is currently serving as the attorney for the City of Water Valley Board of Aldermen. He is active in his community and has served as past president for the Water Valley Lions Club and the Water Valley Chamber of Commerce. Daniel M. Martin obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama, and from there continued his education at the University of Mississippi School of Law. After graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May of 2008, Daniel and his wife, Frances, moved to Water Valley. Daniel joined John J. Crow, Jr., PLLC, as an associate in October of 2008. In October of 2012, Daniel and John decided to further solidify their professional relationship and created CrowMartin, PLLC. In his practice Daniel works closely with the farmers, businessmen, banks, and local governmental entities of Yalobusha County on a variety of legal issues. Outside of work, Daniel and his wife try to stay involved in the Community and try to actively participate to make Water Valley and Yalobusha County a better place to live. Daniel and his wife attend the First Baptist Church of Water Valley. Daniel served as the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce President in 2012, and as the Water Valley Lions Club President from 2012 - 2013. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Branch of Hope, a Christian non-profit organization that provides a sober living facility for those in need. In 2011, Daniel placed in the top four of the National Discussion Meet held by the American Farm Bureau Association in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2014, he was made a Melvin Jones Fellow by the Water Valley Lions Club for his dedicated humanitarian services. But most importantly, Daniel is blessed to have been married to his wife, Frances, for over 18 years. Together they have made a loving home in Water Valley where they are raising their two sons. J. Shannon Crow

J. Shannon Crow primarily focuses on civil matters, with an emphasis in wills and estates and real estate law. He is very effective at reaching settlements through mediation, but also has an excellent trial record. He is currently serving as Attorney for the Yalobusha General Hospital and Nursing Home Board of Trustees. He graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Shannon Crow grew up in Water Valley and graduated from Water Valley High School in May of 2006. After high school, Shannon obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Delta State University. Upon completion of his degree at Delta State, Shannon moved to Oxford where he obtained his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. During law school, Shannon served on the Law Journal and graduated cum laude. After finishing law school in May, 2014, Shannon moved back to his hometown of Water Valley and joined the firm of CrowMartin, PLLC. Shannon resides in Water Valley with his wife Whitney, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, and sports.

John J. Crow, Jr., with his son, J. Shannon Crow, and his wife, Jane H. Crow. John J. Crow, Jr., practice focuses largely on government and banking law. He has served for over 30 years as Attorney for the Yalobusha County Board of Supervisors, and over a decade as Attorney for the City of Water Valley Board of Alderman. His years of service in general practice have given him extensive experience in government law, banking law, real estate law, wills and estates, and family law.Read More John J. He then attended the Jackson School of Law at Mississippi College where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1976. Shortly thereafter, he opened his law office at 203 Wagner St., Water Valley, Mississippi, in the same location it is today. In 1981, John became the Attorney for the Yalobusha County Board of Supervisors and has held said position continuously since his appointment. During his decades of legal service, he has served as the President of the Mississippi Association of County Board Attorneys, City of Water Valley Prosecutor, and Attorney for the Water Valley Board of Alderman.
