Harlem is where Charlie has most recently hung their hat and they believe strongly in the power of community organizing and the ability to make the world a better place one street at a time. That is why they have served on their community board for the past two years and have volunteered time with several local campaigns & organizations with an eye towards creating a more just & equitable society for everyone. In their professional life, Charlie has most recently worked for a multi-national corporation serving several companies in the Fortune 100 as a learning & development professional. Charlie has designed & delivered training to over 1500 lawyers & nearly 500 corporate professionals across the last four years on several topics including DE&I, Negotiation, Time Management, & a wealth of professional development courses designed to build better leaders in the corporate world. Creativity in lesson design & delivery are the key to building content that stays with you. To that end, Charlie has written & performed several live late-night comedy shows in New York, where they blend history, science, & politics into whimsical sketches, songs, & the occasional five minute rant about who technically runs the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority. Prior to entering the world of comedy & entertainment, Charlie owned a ballroom dance academy, teaching people from six to eighty-six how to have confidence, get started on the right foot, and lead & influence others. There may have been some dancing in there along the way. Charlie is an avid reader & researcher and when they are not designing content, dancing, or delivering jokes, they are working toward further certification in learning, psychology, & diversity.
