Dr. Carolyn Belke's career began as a Registered Dietician. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition from Bradley University in 1981 and a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition in 1984 from Illinois State University. While working at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois as a Registered Dietician, she realized her true passion was to pursue dentistry. She attended Northwestern University and became a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1995 and then continued education by completing General Practice Residency at Columbia Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in 1998. Her education and combined degrees in nutrition and dentistry gives her a true edge. Dr. Belke highly encourages preventative solutions to reduce long-term risks and minimize the need for more invasive treatments making her one of the best in the field of dentistry.
For over 15 years, Dr. Belke has been practicing the art of restorative dentistry and truly takes pride in her commitment to remain at the forefront of the latest technologies and advanced treatments to enhance her practice. Prior to joining First Point Dental Clinic, Dr. Belke was in private practice. She brings fresh perspectives and enhanced knowledge to the team. She is a strong advocate for adoption. When not studying and practicing, Dr. Belke loves spending time with her three children and adoring husband, reading or gardening.

Kayla Ketza, Lead Dental Assistant in Chicago at First Point Dental has a total of 15 years experience working in the hospitality and insurance industry where she developed a well rounded personality. After gaining all of the knowledge working in her previous roles she decided to pursue a career in the dental field where she has been able to grow and provide quality patient care. Kayla treats all of her patients as if they are family and will go out of her way to make sure patients feel their best and as comfortable as possible under her care. Kayla is certified in coronal polishing, sealant placement, and CPR. Outside of the office, Kayla loves spending quality time with her daughter, Leah. Kayla enjoys cooking meals for her family, making time for self-care, and reading self-improvement books.
Kayla also assists the doctor during a variety of treatments, exams, and procedures, and always strives to deliver a positive patient experience by focusing on providing the best possible care and treatment to our patients. She also ensures proper sterilization of the equipment and operatory before the subsequent patients arrive.
Kayla educates the patient about their oral health, procedures and also offers nutritional counseling. She has wonderful communication skills and offers excellent customer service with a positive attitude and dedication.
