Andy Conn - President

Andy Conn serves as the President and a member of the Board of Directors of Granular. Andy is a business leader with over 25 years of senior management experience and a track record of building a company from start-up to profitable strategic sale. For two years, Andy served as Granular's Chief Operating officer before moving into the role of President. Before joining Granular, Andy was a Co-founder/Director and served as COO and General Counsel of Square Knot Health, Inc., a disease management company focused on patients with chronic kidney disease. For 21 years Andy served as a COO and General Counsel of GeoBlue (an international specialty risk company), where he also served on the Board of Directors. Andy's background also includes working for the Allegheny Health Network (now part of Highmark, Inc.) and practicing corporate law at Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen. Andy earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.

Angelo Masciantonio

Angelo Masciantonio is an early-stage advisor and investor who has joined Granular as a Board Executive. In 2015, Angelo retired after serving for 18 years as CEO and chairman of GeoBlue, a company he co-founded. Angelo was also a founding CEO for the Worker's Comp Advantage (WCA) subsidiary of Aetna U.S. Healthcare and was the founder, CEO and chairman of Managed Health Care Services (MHCS). During his career, he additionally worked at Advanced Systems Applications (ASA), Pacific Mutual Insurance (now Pacific Life) and Blue Cross of Massachusetts, and he managed the neurology and neurosurgery division at Boston Children's Hospital. As an early-stage investor, Angelo has invested in several technology and health care startups and venture funds over the last three decades. Angelo received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year honor in 2009 for the Philadelphia region, after being a finalist four times prior. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston University and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively.

Brady Bizal

Brady has been a successful insurance and reinsurance sales professional for three decades. In 2009, he co-founded Midwest Risk Underwriters, an excess insurance medical facility, where he led sales and marketing efforts from start up through successful acquisition. Prior to 2009 and spanning 16 years, Brady was responsible for National sales, production underwriting and management for IndependenceCare (an IHC company) and ING (formerly NWNL/ReliaStar). Brady's experience includes employer stop loss, managed care reinsurance and provider excess of loss insurance.

Cynthia Villamin

Cynthia Villamin serves as Health Insurance Accounting Manager for Granular Insurance. She is responsible for the oversight of accounting controls and operations, and financial and statutory reporting. With over 18 years of combined public accounting and industry experience, Cynthia brings financial and statutory reporting expertise. She has extensive knowledge of financial reporting requirements under both the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP). Prior to joining Granular, Cynthia worked at First American Title Insurance where she was responsible for statutory reports preparation, internal controls documentation in accordance with Model Audit Rule, and external audit work coordination. Cynthia started her career as an external auditor at Ernst & Young in the Philippines and then in the US at various accounting firms, where she managed audits of financial institutions (primarily credit unions), non-profit healthcare and community-based organizations, health insurance (primarily health maintenance organization), manufacturing, retail, logistics, government and school districts. Cynthia received her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Danielle O'Neill

Danielle O'Neill serves as Senior Sales Director, Northeast for Granular Insurance. Danielle brings 15 years of experience in sales, leadership, strategic planning and client relationship management. Having spent the majority of her career on the Health Plan side with 10 years at Cigna, she brings her industry knowledge as well as her innovative mindset to solve for client needs. Most recently, Danielle combined her healthcare background with technology as she supported Strategic Accounts at Maven Clinic, a virtual clinic for women and families. Danielle is both analytical and organized with the ability to identify client needs, make recommendations, and implement effective solutions. Danielle completed her bachelor's degree at Loyola College in Baltimore, MD.

Denny Weinberg

Denny Weinberg serves as Chief Executive of Granular. Denny is a veteran executive, having spent 35 years in health care financing and operations. Prior to serving as CEO of Granular, his background included a four-year tenure as CEO of Hixme, a digital health benefits platform for large employers, and a 20-year tenure with Wellpoint (Anthem), serving as CEO for a number of its nationwide insurance companies. In his earlier career, Denny served Deloitte Consulting for six years as a consultant in the insurance, benefits and healthcare industries, and he spent six years as chief engineer and general manager of the CTX division of IC Industries. Denny's private equity board involvements have included serving on the boards of Renal Ventures Management, Applied Merchant Systems, Westlake Davvar, and Skyview Development. He has also held startup advisory and/or board positions with Outpatient, Focal Scan Systems, and Hixme. Denny's public company board involvements have included Dole Food Company, Salem Communications Corp, Health Management, Inc. and Wellpoint/Anthem.

Dr. Frank Gillingham

Dr. Frank Gillingham serves as Director of Medical Cost Containment for Granular. Dr. Gillingham is the former Chief Medical Officer of GeoBlue, a leading international health insurance company. During his twenty-two-year tenure, he was responsible for the development of their medical policies and case management programs for global travelers. Most recently, he created Trilogy, the world's first international telemedicine network, in his capacity as a partner with the travel consulting firm Fairmount International. Dr. Gillingham spent thirty years in Los Angeles as a practicing physician, including long tenures as chief of emergency services at the Westlake Medical Center and Glendale Memorial Hospital. He was also an attending physician at the UCLA Medical Center, and a physician advisor for Anthem Blue Cross of California. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with post graduate training at the University of Southern California. He is board certified in internal medicine and held prior certification in emergency medicine.

Mike Munroe

Most recently Mike led the account management team at GeoBlue, an international health insurance company. Peter Bohn

Pete Bohn serves as an Underwriting Executive for Granular. Bringing extensive expertise to his position, Pete is an insightful evaluator of health risk and has a deep understanding of the financial context of underwriting performance in the financial evaluation of companies. He is skilled at developing key underwriting manuals, memoranda and the process documentation necessary for meeting key audit requirements. He is also an articulate analyst of insurance data with exceptional skill in transforming that data into persuasive arguments for corporate planning. Prior to joining the Granular team, Pete spent 23 years at GeoBlue (formerly HTH Worldwide), beginning as Director of Information Technology and moving up to Vice President of Underwriting.

Rob Howard

Rob Howard serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Granular, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and account management. Rob has stood out as a successful sales leader for three decades. His resume includes serving for 18 years as the director of student and corporate sales and account management at GeoBlue (formerly HTH Worldwide), an international specialty risk company; early in his career, he served for 10 years as Eastern Sales Director for Namico. Rob excels at building teams and bringing innovation to the marketplace - skills he began honing early in his professional life as a teacher and coach. When his career path took him to the business world, Rob still continued to be involved in education, serving for 20 years on the board of A Better Chance, a residential program for academically talented, economically disadvantaged teenagers. Rob's civic service activities also include volunteering for the Hunger Committee at his church and as a judge's clerk for the Philadelphia Flower Show, the oldest and largest flower show in the United States.

Stefanie Binder

Prior to joining Granular, Stefanie was a Principal at Mercer focusing on State Medicaid managed care programs where she helped her clients create innovative care management strategies, develop value-based payment arrangements and comply with federal guidelines. Her passion for healthcare and desire to learn how technology can better assist with gaps in care led her most recently to Maven Clinic, a virtual clinic for women and families. There, Stefanie led the implementation team and managed Fortune 500 accounts. Having begun her career in law, Stefanie is highly skilled in identifying issues, developing creative solutions, and becoming a trusted advisor. Stefanie completed her BA at University of Pennsylvania and her JD at Boston University.
