Kiva has extensive experience in Business Management, Finance and HR and has been ECC's Business and Finance Manager since 2011. She ensures that ECC's financial, legal, procurement and governance processes operate smoothly and comply with internal and external requirements.
Kiva's experience has led the way in which ECC manages and continues to manage its internal procedures.
Prior to joining ECC, she was the Planning and Development Business Manager with the London Borough of Brent and Office Manager at the New Opportunities Fund.
Kiva recently led ECC's website re-launch in 2024 and continues to ensure that content is relevant and up to date.
After completing a ‘fear of flying' course several years ago, she is making up for the years of lost travel, particularly to hotter climates.
Prior to joining ECC, Laura worked in Human Resources in a variety of companies in the corporate sector. She also spent time in the charity sector where she had a range of experiences including fundraising, communications, operations and event planning.
Outside of work, she loves reading, eating out, walking her dog and is very proud of that fact that she once skydived in New Zealand although she would never want to do it again!

As Chief Executive, Nicholas ensures that ECC stays focused on our members, balancing long-term strategic development with a firm commitment to delivering today's needs.
He has direct experience of many aspects of HR, and has led ECC through a period of significant growth and expansion over the last 12 years.
Nicholas brings 25 years' of experience of developing and delivering practical and successful strategies and business plans in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Before joining ECC he spent several years as Head of Strategy and Performance at RNIB, a £120m UK membership charity with 3,000 staff across 40 sites. In his spare time he enjoys travel, and walking a dog he always said he didn't want but is now inseparable from.
Shani joined ECC in 2022 taking responsibility for the service portfolio to members. She brings 20 years' experience of working in senior operations management roles within customer service and member services environments, and is now focussed on service improvement and supporting ECC's strategic goals.
Prior to joining ECC, Shani worked in similar roles within a professional association as well as within the call centre industry, leading many initiatives to raise standards of customer service and operational efficiency. She also spent some time working voluntarily for VSO as an Organisation Development Advisor in Malawi, working within a medical training institution.
Shani has an MSc in Human Resource Management and Development from University of Manchester.
Much of Shani's spare time is spent with her young son and together they enjoy cycling and exploring new places.
