The Clinical Research Unit CRU342 will identify and investigate the different pathophysiological mechanisms that contribute to the development of this devastating diseases. We target possible interventional strategies in preclinical disease models and conduct clinical studies to enforce clinical translation of the results and to discover avenues of potential therapeutic approaches to combat organ injury during systemic inflammation.
