Aimee Frugoli

Aimee Frugoli is a Reno native and graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno with a master's in Social Work. She works with schools to help them achieve green business certification. She loves to travel and spent a summer attending the University of Pau, France and experienced the Running of the Bulls!

Donna Walden - Founder

In her role as president of greenUP!, Donna partnered with Western Nevada College to secure funding and launch the Nevada Green Business Network. As founder and director of the Nevada Green Business Network, she manages partnerships, leads strategic planning, and oversees marketing and administration. Donna also develops educational programs and technical resources to help Nevada businesses green their operations. Donna is an independent filmmaker and likes writing scripts and producing films in her spare time.

Erica Gallegos

Erica is the Program Coordinator at Western Nevada College. She manages the GreenBizTracker database and helps facilitate the green business program in Northern Nevada. She graduated with honors from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Renewable Energy. On weekends, Erica enjoys exploring nature and writing fantasy adventure novels.

Hector Arreola

Hector Arreola is a native-born Nevadan and the son of Mexican immigrants from Ameca, Jalisco. Most of his childhood summers were spent in Mexico with his grandparents, who taught him the importance of sustainable agriculture on their family crops. During college, he interned on a successful presidential primary campaign before joining the United States Census Bureau to assist with the 2020 count. He continued his work in public service in Nevada as a community organizer by helping get Conservationists elected in 2022. At Nevada Conservation League, he is excited to teach businesses about the Nevada Green Business Network and help them implement sustainable, cost-effective best practices.

John K. Williams

John K. Williams joined the Waste Not Department as the Public Works Sustainability Technician in August 2022. John brings a wealth of experience to the IV/CB District with knowledge in the water utility and energy sectors, retail management, geology, wildlife management, education/outreach, construction, and conservation/sustainability. John is a longtime Tahoe resident; he is married to Sierra Nevada Alliance Staffer, Rebecca Williams, and he has 2 awesome kids.

Joseph Hill

Joe is the Public Works Technician and Sustainability Program Coordinator for the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID). He grew up in Incline Village and has a degree in Environmental Science, Administration and Policy from Northern Arizona University. Hikes usually consume his weekends along with dog kisses and catching up on Formula-E racing. (775) 832-1284

Kim Rios

Kim is an environmental educator for KTMB who gained experience through teaching abroad. She has a degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Nevada, Reno. Patricia Moen

Patty is the Recycling Coordinator for the Bureau of Sustainable Materials Management. She has a bachelor's degree in Biology and a master's degree in Land Use Planning from the University of Nevada, Reno. She advocates for zero waste principles, simple living, reducing, and reusing. In her free time, she hikes, reads, and gardens.

Rick Van Diepen

Rick has been a practicing architect and an advocate for sustainable design for 26 years after graduating from UC Berkeley in 1994. In his ‘encore career' Rick partnered with his friend Dave Ray to form the sustainability consulting firm, GRN Vision. Rick jokes that he is a ‘recovering architect' and he recently completed construction of a net zero energy casita for his mother-in-law.

Skylar Jones

Skylar is the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Bureau of Sustainable Materials Management. She has a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Ecohydrology from the University of Nevada, Reno with experience in water quality planning, hazardous waste, and working with the public. Her free time is spent hiking with her dog, doing DIY projects at home, and co-organizing a local permaculture group.

Vanessa Robertson

Vanessa is a Reno Native and has been Co-Executive Director of Envirolution for 6 years. She has a masters in international environmental policy and founded her own green business consulting company prior to joining Envirolution. When Vanessa isn't working with her team providing teachers and students with engaging sustainability and STEAM career development opportunities, she enjoys traveling and the outdoors with her husband, son and new puppy Ava.
