Amanda L. Tate (Partner) takes pride in being a zealous advocate on behalf of all her clients in complex medical malpractice actions and health care litigation. She provides skilled and experienced representation to major hospital systems and physicians across the full spectrum of the surgical and medical specialties.
Ms. Tate brings a creative and dynamic approach to her practice by exploring early resolution as well as dismissal of actions prior to trial. In both state and federal courts, she has a high success rate in dispositive motion practice, including summary judgment and pre-suit adjudications.
Ms. Tate has employed the same effective strategies to her appellate practice, having achieved favorable outcomes for her clients at the Appellate Division and the Court of Appeals. Amy Jen (partner) is an experienced litigator specializing in representing major hospital institutions, nursing and rehabilitation facilities, physicians, nurses, physician's assistants, and other medical professionals in complex and high-exposure malpractice actions.
She has successfully defended clients in the New York State trial courts, as well as the Appellate Division and the Court of Appeals. Ms. Jen has also obtained numerous favorable outcomes for her clients in professional disciplinary matters before the New York State Department of Health, the New York State Office of Professional Discipline, the New York State Justice Center, and other prosecuting agencies.
Ms. Jen's commitment and advocacy of her clients has resulted in the dismissal and the successful early resolution of numerous actions through dispositive motion practice and pre-trial negotiations. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Jen focused on defending general liability actions, providing legal counsel in the public interest sector, as well as working under the New York State judicial system and various municipal government agencies.
Bridget Dahle joined the firm in 2021 as a Senior Associate. For 20 years, Bridget worked at a medical malpractice defense firm in White Plains, managing complex and high-value cases from inception, though defendant depositions and up to trial. Bridget has represented general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons and neurosurgeons and a large part of her practice has focused on obstetrical malpractice cases. Bridget is heavily involved with developing defense strategy with our medical experts and trial attorneys and she has written and argued numerous successful summary judgment motions over her career. Bridget has also written, argued and won several appeals in the New York State Appellate Division First and Second Departments.

Bryanna is a 2022 graduate of the Maurice A. Christina Papadopoulos (Partner) is an accomplished litigator with over fifteen years of experience in defending catastrophic injury claims. Throughout her distinguished career Christina has vigorously defended her clients in a wide variety of high exposure claims from the inception of the claim or suit through trial. Christina frequently handles complex matters, including medical malpractice and wrongful death actions, with significant potential damages. Mr. Rizzo handles a variety of high exposure matters in the areas of medical malpractice, municipal defense, employment, labor and automotive litigation through trial. He has extensive experience in health care regulatory matters. He has taken successful trial verdicts in every Downstate venue of the Second Department.
Mr. Rizzo has served as a member of the Board of Directors of a Public Benefit Corporation and is a founding member of the philanthropic arm of the that Corporation. He was appointed to the Nassau Health Care Corporation Board of Directors by the Governor and was shortly thereafter appointed to Chairman of the Board of Directors in May of 2010. Mr. Rizzo had previously served as an Executive Vice President and Acting General Counsel to a major medical institution overseeing various departments including quality, risk management, labor and policy development. He also served on the Executive Committee for the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program. He is a founding Advisory Board Member of the Feinstein Medical Research Institute and currently sits on the Institutional Review Board of the Feinstein Medical Research Institute. He has also served on the Advisory Board of Franklin General Hospital, now Long Island Jewish at Valley Stream. Mr. Rizzo also previously served as a Legislative Aide to a New York State Senator.
In 2010, Mr. Rizzo was appointed as a Commissioner on the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission. He is a member of The Long Island Business Council, Co Chairman of Toys for Tots and a former delegate to the Nassau/Suffolk Judicial Nominating Committee.
In 2012 Mr. Rizzo was the recipient of the United Hospital Fund's Distinguished Trustee award, presented at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, for his service as Chairman of the Board of Nassau Health Care Corporation. Moreover, Mr. Rizzo was honored by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin which consists of over 11,000 physicians nationwide for his work in health care and community service.
Appointed to the Board of Governors of the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in March 2013, Mr. Rizzo was also a board member of the Fair Media Council which, among other things, advocates for quality local news and public information.

Daniel G. Federico is a senior trial attorney who has defended claims involving catastrophic injury in medical malpractice, products liability and construction litigation for more than thirty years.
Formerly a named partner in a Manhattan Litigation Firm, Mr. Federico has represented medical professionals in a broad array of actions, many on behalf of the premier medical institutions in the New York metropolitan area. Gerald ("Jerry") Murphy is a resident Partner in the firm's Long Island office. Mr. Murphy is an experienced litigator with an emphasis on medical malpractice and general liability insurance defense. He represents many of the major hospitals and physician practice groups in the metropolitan New York area. He also represents various stakeholders in defense of construction, labor law and various other complex general liability and commercial matters. Mr. Murphy has dedicated a significant portion of his career to the defense of municipalities, school districts and first responders, including police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. As a hybrid attorney defending traditional medical malpractice and general liability claims, Mr. Murphy has developed extensive and unique experience in defending nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. Gianna Crespo (Partner) has a proven track record in obtaining summary judgments and outright dismissals on behalf of her clients, with a strong and successful appellate record. Her legal work is focused on the defense of hospitals, physicians, and nursing homes, in complex claims and professional liability. Her legal experience also extends to other areas of law, including immigration, such that she is able to provide clients with robust legal guidance. While on an academic scholarship, Gianna obtained her B.A. degree from Stony Brook University in 2005. Heather S. Siegel is a Partner in the firm's Long Island office. Heather's entire law career over more than the past 20 years has been devoted to defending physicians, hospitals, and facilities in complex high exposure medical malpractice actions. Heather's meticulous attention to detail has proven success in her cases with a special interest in matters with claims of obstetrical and neonatal management and hospital malpractice cases. John D. Paterniti co-heads the firm's Medical Malpractice defense team and is a senior partner in the General Liability practice group. As a seasoned trial attorney, he has tried more than 50 cases to verdict over the course of his career in the New York City area and surrounding counties. John leads a team of partners and associates in defending major hospital systems, individual physicians, and long-term care facilities in a wide variety of medical malpractice claims. He regularly tries high exposure cases, that require the skill to navigate the complexities of the medical issues as well as the significant damages involved. John has successfully defended clients at trial in cases ranging from claims of obstetrical mismanagement leading to permanent global disabilities to neurosurgical negligence resulting in paralysis. A graduate of Fordham University School of Law, John served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York in Bronx County from 1996 to 2004. Jonathan has extensive and broad experience representing healthcare professionals in all matter and stages of litigation.
Before joining the Firm, Jonathan spent nearly six years with the NYC Health + Hospitals Corporation where represented municipal hospitals, physicians, and medical providers in medical malpractice litigation. He was responsible for investigating claims and suits through record and document review, interviews, and expert conferences, drafting reports, motions and conducting 50-h examinations, preparation of pleadings, all faces of discovery, take and defend depositions, participate in settlement negotiations and conduct trial strategy conferences and jury trials and appeals. Kerrianne is a 2020 graduate of the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Hon. Linda Nikaj is an associate based in the firm's New York City office. Her practice concentrates on the defense of hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in medical malpractice actions.
Prior to joining the firm, Linda spent a decade with a litigation firm, where she worked on a range of cases, including cases involving medical malpractice, sexual assault, and other negligence matters. As a student, she held positions at the U.S. House of Representatives, Consulate General of Kosovo in New York, N.J. Roy F. Kaufman is a partner in the firm's Long Island office. Roy is a seasoned trial attorney with over thirty years of experience representing various stakeholders in the healthcare industry both as a practicing attorney and as an in-house senior executive. Steven I. Rubin is an accomplished trial attorney with extensive experience throughout New York City in defending against claims of medical malpractice. Steve honed his skills as a litigator immediately after law school with the New York City Law Department as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Queens Torts Division, where he defended the City in complex tort liability actions including: premises liability claims, Labor Law actions, motor vehicle actions, security claims, false arrest actions, negligent supervision claims, highway design cases, and other general liability matters. Susan has a wealth of experience in nursing home and medical malpractice litigation, having worked in three other well-regarded Long Island insurance defense firms in her over 30 years of practice. Susan handles all aspects of litigation, including all stages of discovery, from the inception of the case, to taking and defending depositions and dispositive motion practice, preparing expert witnesses, up to and including trial preparation. Susan has regularly represented physicians, nurses and CNAs in all phases of litigation and has extensive experience working with insurance carriers in healthcare litigation, medical malpractice and general liability contexts. Her legal experience began in Manhattan Family Court, doing civil prosecutions of child abuse matters, including many high profile cases, and preparing and trying child abuse matters as a Supervising Attorney in Manhattan Family Court, where she supervised fifty attorneys.
Susan graduated from Albany Law School in 1990 and received her Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University in 1987.
