Amanda Lindop

I'm Amanda and I live in Oswestry and have done for most of my life. I have five children and two grandchildren with another on the way! In my spare time I like to walk my Golden Doodle Nancy and spend time with my family. I also enjoy running. I really enjoy all aspects of my role at The Market Town Vet and I'm very proud of our amazing team.

Angela Salter

Hi, I'm Ang and I joined the team at The Market Town Vet in October as a receptionist. I'm originally from Bristol but have lived in Llanymynech for the last 20 years. Previous to this I worked for 20 years as a teaching assistant which I loved but recently fancied a change. I love to go on long walks with my dog Jess.

Ash Pugh

I'm a second year student veterinary nurse at Wrexham university. I started working at market town vet after I did my first placement here and loved it, I now work here part time and continue to do my placement here as well. I love animals and have had many in the past including a Dalmatian that made an appearance in the film 102 Dalmatian's. I currently have a springer spaniel called Indi who enjoys long walks and coming into the practice. As I continue with my veterinary nursing career I have a particular interest in schedule 3 nursing which includes minor surgeries and procedures.

Ben Price

I grew up in Evesham Worcestershire, before going to Glasgow Vet School, where I graduated in 2007. Previously I have worked in Pershore, Nottingham, Sydney (Australia), Guildford and Crewe. I was here for the opening of TMTV and have seen the practice go from strength to strength. I throughly enjoy being a vet and have a particular interest in orthopaedics (including cruciate disease surgery) and reptiles. I live in Norton in Hales near Market Drayton with my wife Jemma, also a vet, and young son Kit. I have a lovely old Labrador called Hattie, and a bouncy Labrador puppy called Sophie, a Horsefield Tortoise called Winston and a spare room full of snakes. In my spare time I enjoy riding motorcycles (my pride and joy being a 1996 Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird), caving and walking in the countryside. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Charlotte Fortune

I have worked in various job roles within veterinary practice since 2018, from receptionist to veterinary care assistant. I joined The Market Town Vet in 2023 and love working with such a friendly team. In my spare time I own a professional dog grooming salon which I love and whilst not working I spend quality time with my little boy and 2 crazy jugs.

Claire Jones

I'm Claire originally from West Felton but more recently living in Oswestry. I have always had a huge love for animals and kept many pets since childhood from Hamsters and Rabbits to Dogs. When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my family and Tia, our Cocker Spaniel who is 7years old. She loves to play fetch!

Debbie Ridge

I'm excited to be joining the market town vet team, bringing with me a wealth of experience to support this fantastic independent practice in Shrewsbury. I have been involved in the veterinary world since 1991. Inside of work I can often be found sneaking a cuddle with clients pets but its all in a days work! Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and various pets (having a menagerie of pets all acquired through my job).

Dr James Meredith

I come from a farming family in Staffordshire, having grown up around many animals, I quickly developed a passion for working with them. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College with honours in 2013. I have since worked both in this country and in New Zealand where I met the love of my life, my dog Barnaby, and my second love, my husband. Along with animals my passion is travel so have spent time in Africa working at rescue charities and sanctuaries. At home we now have a menagerie of animals at home including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and other birds including pheasants and aviary birds.

Gemma Purcell

I came to work in The Market Town Vet in 2021 whilst on placement for my Veterinary Care assistant diploma. I plan in the future to train to become a Veterinary nurse. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary especially caring for the patients and love the challenge it brings. Out side of work I have two daughters and a Labrador called Fliss. I love working at The Market Town Vet and I am excited for the opportunities to progress my career in the future.

Hannah Bailey

I've worked within vet practices for 7 years, having had a change of career in my mid twenties. I've done reception and patient care roles. I joined the market town vet in 2023 after having my greatest achievement my son Sidney. The team are friendly and approachable and made me feel at home. In my spare time I compete my horse Newton in various events up and down the country. We also have 5 dogs ranging from a bloodhound to a cocker spaniel. We show our Basset hound at championship level.

Jack Dawling

I started working at The Market Town Vet Shrewsbury in January 2023 as a receptionist part time, while I was studying at college. From January 2024 I have begun my new role as a VCA and I can't wait to increase my knowledge and improve my skills. I have been playing Rugby since I was 5 years old and still play currently as a Flanker and am a keen supporter of Saracens and Harlequins. I have three dogs, Arthur (Staffy x Lab), Molly (Puggle) and Mavis (French Bulldog). I have also owned a Bearded Dragon, Rabbits and Rats over the years.

Jade Barker

I have been in the veterinary industry since 2019 leading on from graduating Nottingham Trent University with an FdSc in Animal Science and a BSc in Animal Biology. My next challenge is to complete my registered veterinary nurse training. I love all areas of veterinary, particularly enjoying canine behaviour, theatre and laboratory work. Outside of work I am a mum to a little girl and a crazy cocker spaniel called Moose.

Jemma Price

I grew up in Surrey, before studying at Glasgow vet school where I met my husband Ben. I have worked in the East Midlands, Australia and Hampshire before settling down in North Shropshire. I am interested in chronic pain management and acupuncture. Ben and I have a son called Kit, along with 2 labradors, a tortoise, 2 Guinea pigs and ‘too' many snakes! I love all things wildlife and gardening and am a keen twitcher.

Jill Graham

My name is Jill and I have lived in the Oswestry area all my life. I adore all animals and I am the proud owner of 4 fabulous Frenchies. I enjoy working with colleagues at The Market Town Vet, meeting customer's and the wide variety of animals that are cared for at the Practice. I am a qualified Pilates Instructor and have worked in the Fitness Industry for the past 29 year's. I am passionate about all aspects of health and fitness especially the gym and running, my other passion is ride outs on my Harley Davidson.

Kelly Sides

I have lived in Oswestry all my life. When I was a child I lived near Oswestry racecourse, were my family ran a dairy farm. I enjoyed many happy days helping out on the farm, as well as doing the things kids do like sledging, climbing trees & many more things. I have an NVQ Level 2 in Small Animal Care & this along with my extensive job experience has helped me to settle into my role on reception. In my free time I like to spend time with my family & their pets. If I can get out & about in the countryside too that's a bonus.

Leah Jones

I have many years of experience in the Veterinary world from being the daughter of a Vet and I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2018. I am now the head nurse at The Market Town, and have a particular interest in consulting and medicine. I have set the clinic up as a RCVS training practice and look forward to training new student nurses. Outside of work I have a campervan and enjoy going on trips with my two dogs Quinn and Eric.

Lisa Elliott

I grew up in the rural New Forest before studying at the Royal Veterinary College in London and graduating in 2006. I moved to the Midlands after graduation to work in mixed animal practice. The last 16 years I have been working in small animal practice in the Midlands. I have a strong interest in internal medicine and ultrasonography. I gained my post graduate certificate in small animal medicine in 2016 from the University of Liverpool. When I'm not at work. I can be found hiking, foraging, baking and silk painting.

Megan Dixon

My family and I relocated to Shropshire when I was 8 years old and I have loved all aspects of country life since then. I have always had a passion for animals and knew at a very young age that was all I ever wanted to do. My Vet Nursing journey began with completing a Veterinary Care Assistant qualification and I am now lucky enough to be a part of The Market Town Vet team as a Student Veterinary Nurse! Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family/ friends and going on muddy walks with our Cavapoo, Lottie!

Megan Doster

I have been in the veterinary profession since starting university in 2013. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 graduating from Harper Adams University. I enjoy all aspects of my role in practice, with particular interests in inpatient care and nurse clinics. When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the cinema and travelling abroad especially to Walt Disney World.

Michelle Dawling

I have worked in the veterinary industry since 2017, where I have been lucky enough to have been part of two initial set ups before The Market Town Vet, allowing me to transfer my experiences and bring the best I can to the practice. I have been married to Steve for 14 years and have two teenage boys, Michael and Jack and three dogs, Arthur the staffy cross Lab, Molly the puggle and Mavis the french bulldog. I couldn't be prouder to be part of this wonderful practice and working alongside some fabulous people. I'm mostly looking forward to meeting new clients and having lots of snuggles with their loving companions.

Paige Rose

For as long as I can remember I've wanted to work with animals and as of August 2023 my dreams came true! I'm a Vet Care Assistant here at The Market Town Vet, and I love all aspects of my role and plan on training to become a Veterinary Nurse. I particularly enjoy caring for the patients, and find all of the lab work super interesting! Everyone has made me feel incredibly welcome and a part of the team here. Outside of work I have a cat called Oj (orange juice) and will no doubt have many more in my future!

Rob Tulloch

I have lived and worked in the area since 1999 and now live in Oswestry. I enjoy all aspects of the veterinary job especially dermatology and general surgery. Outside of work I have 3 boys who are rapidly growing up and are involved in sport in a big way - specifically rugby and cricket and as a result spend a good chunk of time involved in the local rugby & cricket clubs. As a family we like to walk our Labrador Woody, play the odd game of golf and catch up with friends and family when time allows. Rob Tulloch (Owner & Lead Vet) and Leah Jones (Head Nurse) have over 30 years between them working in veterinary practice and run the Oswestry Branch. Rob has lived and worked in the area for the past 24 years and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. Leah has qualified and worked in the area as a veterinary nurse and has extensive experience in small animal nursing and emergency care. They are joined by Amanda Lindop (Practice Manager), Claire Jones & Jill Graham whose job it will be to look after you from when you enter the practice to when you leave. Sally Mantell

I started working at The Market Town Vet after graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2023, and feel lucky to be part of the amazing team here in Oswestry. I grew up in Bristol and have loved moving to the beautiful Shropshire countryside and fulfilling my dream of working at an independent veterinary practice. I couldn't resist adopting my dog Ember from Hector's Greyhound Rescue and we enjoy exploring our new home together, although she prefers cuddling up on the sofa! Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.

Shannon Jones

I have been working within the Veterinary profession since 2015 after leaving school and began working for The Market Town Vet since opening on the 1st October 2021, as a Veterinary Care Assistant. I am currently studying Veterinary Nursing here at the practice and enjoy the challenges it entails. I love Theatre and Diagnostics. Back at home I enjoy all things country, from horse riding, working my dogs and all things Fairfax and Favor!

Sophie Foster

I have worked in the veterinary industry since 2015 and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2019. I am lucky enough to be part of an amazing team in Shrewsbury where my role is Head Veterinary Nurse but I have a particular interest in surgical nursing. I have set our clinic up as a RCVS training practice where I can train students to become qualified nurses. Along side this I have also put in place our practices RCVS accreditation. When I'm not at work I love spending time with my soon to be husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
