The 100 Black Men of Akron became a Chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. in 2004. The founding members were Tony Grimes, Gary Wyatt, Greg Partridge, and Michael J. Irby. Our primary focus has been mentoring youth. The 100 Black Men Leadership Academy was started to serve boys in grades four to twelfth. Our Daughters in Leadership program served fifth grade girls.
