Dr. Kontny's extensive medical training includes studies at the prestigious St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London, the world's oldest hospital, as well as service in the United States Army. She earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University and completed her surgical residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, in El Paso, Texas.
