Peet has strong links to Ireland. He lived and worked in Ireland with his family for 5 years and was Head of Projects responsible for the construction and setup of the Abbott Laboratories manufacturing facility in the Longford town just off the N4 in Longford County. They recruited over 800 staff in that period. Returning to South Africa after the facility was completed and operational, he continues to maintain strong business and personal relationships with friends and business associates in Ireland. He manages the Blue Future Consultancy firm that provides management and HR consulting and outsourced services to clients.
