Dimitris competed on the following teams: KAOD, Iraklis BC, Olympia Larissas BC, MENT, Xanthi BC, ICBS, GAS Komotini and BAO. He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science
