David T. Holley - Managing Director

Mr. Holley is a Managing Director of Octant Quantitative Investment Management LLC. Mr. Holley has over 20 years experience in developing quantitative investment trading strategies. Many of these strategies are employed by and form the backbone of Octant's trading strategies. Mr. Holley holds a MAcc, as well as a B.S. in Accounting, from Brigham Young University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Holley had over 30 years experience as a CPA, starting his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Holley audited and consulted multi-billion dollar public, private, and non-profit corporations in various parts of the world. His most recent efforts included being an expert and consulting witness in commercial litigation cases, conducting fraud examinations, and performing forensic accounting. Mr. Holley has lectured at Brigham Young University and is conversant in Spanish. Mr. Holley has passed the Series 65 exam.

Evan Holley

Evan Holley is a Senior Associate of Business Development for Octant Quantitative Investment Management. His duties in the firm include marketing, sales and investment trading. He is knowledgeable in account management, investment analysis, sales, and marketing. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, doing Crossfit, and working on his cars.

Michael Thornton - Managing Director

Mr. Thornton is a Managing Director of Octant Quantitative Investment Management LLC. Mr. Thornton has nearly 20 years of algorithm development and alternative investment experience. Prior to Octant, Mr. Thornton worked for an investment consulting firm advising institutional clients on alternative investments. Mr. Thornton also worked for Credit Suisse in their Alternative Investments Division, the University Venture Fund and the Utah Fund of Funds. Mr. Thornton holds a B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah, graduating cum laude as a Research Scholar, with both University and Departmental Honors. Mr. Thornton holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations and is conversant in German. Mr. Thornton has passed the Series 65 exam.
