Before going to law school, Anya worked for over 12 years as a Forensic Scientist. She specialized in Firearms Examination and testified as a Forensic Firearms expert in state and federal court over fifty times. Anya attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas - School of Law, where she received an academic merit scholarship. While in law school, Anya worked as the Nevada Law Editor for the Nevada Law Journal. She is the author of the Journal's 2021 White Paper, "Guns in the Sky: Nevada's Firearms Laws, 1 October, and Next Steps." In 2021, Anya graduated summa cum laude from law school. She ranked third in her class, earning eleven CALI awards for attaining the highest grade in a class. Anya was selected by her classmates to deliver the commencement speech at her graduation. Upon graduating, she was award the James E. Rogers Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award in recognition of her scholastic accomplishments. In her spare time, Anya enjoys experiencing life to the fullest. She has appeared as a contestant on six game shows, ran three full marathons (one in Jamaica), and once spent a month in the remote jungles of Belize working as a wildlife volunteer bottle-feeding and rehabbing injured and abandoned manatees.

Braxton Howard Cloutier

Braxton Howard Cloutier hails from Chapel Hill, NC. He earned a bachelor's degree in Romance Languages (Spanish) at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC, and he completed two years of AmeriCorps service after graduation. Braxton received his law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he was President of the Student Bar Association, a CALI Award winner in Trial Advocacy, a member of the Trial Team, and the 2019 Public Interest Award recipient. Before joining The Matian Firm, APC, Attorney Cloutier honed his legal skills as a Public Defender in Colorado and as a staff attorney for the Immigrant Coalition of Rhode Island, supporting asylum seekers, folks facing deportation, and other recent arrivals to the United States by providing legal representation.
