The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée finds its roots in 1946, when the Circle "Amis de la Culture Française" was formed at the University of Malta. Eventually, the Circle became the Alliance Française in 1959... As a linguistic center, the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée is the only accredited center in Malta for the DELF and DALF examinations, the TEF and other certificates from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris and La Sorbonne Nouvelle. The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée is also a cultural center with events throughout the year, like the French Film Days, the Beaujolais Nouveau wine tasting event, the Bir-Miftuh festival and many more.
