Angela O'Byrne - President

Since 2000, Angela has served as the Owner and President of Perez. Under Angela O'Byrne's visionary leadership, Perez APC has grown into an international firm, with projects across the country and around the globe. In her career, spanning nearly 40 years, Angela has served as Principal in Charge on diverse project types including multi-family housing, healthcare, hospitality, master planning, historic preservation, education, military & government, LEED certified projects, resiliency design, and more, winning dozens of awards. She earned a Master of Architecture from Tulane University and an MS in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and has since become a licensed architect in over 20 states, a licensed general contractor in 3 states, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional. She has served on dozens of non-profit boards of directors, including those of her 2 alma maters, and continues to serve communities where Perez works.

KARRI MAGGIO

Karri joined the Perez team in 2006, at the beginning of the post-Hurricane Katrina recovery in the Gulf Coast region. Throughout her tenure at Perez, she has overseen the design and construction of a myriad of project types across the US, from casinos to office buildings to golf courses to multi-family housing and K-12 schools. Karri is a graduate of the Tulane University School of Architecture where she was a Dean's Honor Scholar and member of Tau Sigma Delta. She has served on the board of Old Algiers Main Street Corporation for over a decade, advocating for equitable economic development and culture preservation in the frequently overlooked New Orleans neighborhood on the west bank of the Mississippi River.

MARIA ISABEL O'BYRNE STEPHENSON

Practicing as an attorney in New Orleans for over 45 years, Maria has been a partner in a general practice, located at the World Trade Center Building in New Orleans for over 30 years, and now at 400 Poydras St. She and her partners have represented clients from many countries, in a variety of cases, including construction and design. She works with a wide network of attorneys in other countries. She was the Honorary Consul of Peru from 1999 to 2009 and has been consulting attorney for many Latin American Consulates. Recipient of several awards, she has the privilege of serving as the Secretary-Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of Perez, APC since 2000, advising on a variety of corporate legal matters.

MARY ALEXANDER

Mary has over 20 years of executive management experience in the areas of public procurement, construction contract administration, and regulatory compliance. She has direct experience overseeing the day-to-day operations of various functional departments within both public and private organizations and played key roles in implementing numerous large-scale, multi-million dollar affordable housing development initiatives for public agency and non-profit developers. Since joining Perez in 2010, Mary has provided executive leadership over the day-to-day operations of the firm and management oversight of multiple federal IDIQ contracts, assisting in the negotiation of task orders and ensuring contract compliance for assignments in Afghanistan, Asia, Africa, El Salvador, Haiti, Kosovo, Lebanon, and Haiti. For the past 30 years, she has been actively engaged in the New Orleans community, serving on volunteer boards and lending her expertise to non-profits and community-based organizations to assist in improving the quality of life for residents in New Orleans.
