Akash Maharaj serves as the global managing partner of Endorphin Global. Akash Maharaj is the global managing partner of Endorphin Global. He has a particularly unique set of skills and expertise, cultivated, and honed over decades of experience gained in a multitude of roles in the medical, banking, finance and insurance sectors. He has served a broad range of global clients in multiple industries and functions with his work in strategy, organisation, and operations. Endorphin Global started inadvertently, when clients and businesspeople indicated that the advice received, were the best solution driven and practical ideas they had ever been able to implement in their businesses and worked. Akash started from humble beginnings to opening offices in the United States and India, he went on to open and spearhead several divisions within the group with the help of a dedicated and skilled team. Akash has been involved in research efforts on global economic and business trends, productivity growth and innovation in emerging markets, as well as gender and diversity, specifically as it relates to the entrepreneur and small-to-medium business sector. As a business growth expert, coach, mentor and business specialist, Akash is also a frequent speaker at different forums across South Africa, Africa, USA and India, focusing on entrepreneurship, business and self-sustainable employment solutions across Africa. He has been involved in research efforts on global economic and business trends, productivity growth and innovation in emerging markets, as well as gender and diversity in 22 countries in Africa. Long involved in charitable and professional causes, Akash has formed the Endorphin Global Foundation to empower and assist the youth and the unemployed. Akash holds a degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion with first-class honours and has many other business qualifications to his name. His passion and dedication focusses on the underprivileged communities and the youth, by teaching them practical business skills and helping them start their own business ecosystems, in an effort to alleviate poverty, eradicate hunger and ultimately reduce crime in communities.
