Alejandra Hernandez - CEO

Alejandra Hernandez reports directly to Langdon Park Capital's CEO, serving as his Chief Assistant and the company's Operations Manager. Her responsibilities include high-level administrative support to the CEO and management team, as well as oversight of all activity at the company's physical offices and special strategic projects. Prior to joining Langdon Park Capital, Hernandez worked at Bank of America for 15 years. Her most recent role there was as an Assistant Vice President in the firm's Business Banking group, where she supported the group's sales team in delivering strategic financial guidance to clients with annual revenue of $5-50 million. Alejandra's responsibilities also included customization of client products and escalating client needs to the firm's senior management as necessary. Hernandez serves as the Vice Chairperson on the School Site and Local School Leadership councils at Arroyo Seco Museum Science Magnet in Los Angeles, CA. Hernandez received her Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and her Bachelor in Business Economics and Psychology from the University of California, Riverside.

Avani Katta

Avani Katta supports Langdon Park Capital's Acquisition team. Katta assists with market research, sourcing, underwriting, due diligence and closing for acquisitions in the firm's target markets across the United States. Katta is based in the firm's Washington, DC office, and she reports to the firm's Director, Acquisitions. Katta also participates in the firm's Investment Committee process and helps with asset- and fund-level investor reporting. Prior to joining Langdon Park Capital, Katta was an Associate in the US Real Estate division at the Carlyle Group where she managed a $600M portfolio of multifamily, single family and industrial assets, with a focus on development and value-add opportunities. Katta previously worked at JBG Smith where she started her career as an Investments analyst working on the portfolio management team. Avani received her Bachelors in Finance from the University of Maryland with a double minor in Real Estate Development & Sustainability.

Bryce Grandison

Bryce works in a variety of roles within Langdon Park Capital's Asset Management team, primarily responsible for providing critical analytical, managerial and research support for all properties within the firm's investment portfolio. Prior to joining Langdon Park Capital, Grandison served as Asset Management and Acquisitions Intern at Waterford Property Company, where he managed external reporting for a $2.8 billion workforce housing portfolio, built relevant portfolio optimization models and researched potential acquisitions opportunities. Before that, Grandison worked for a global retail company as a team leader and project manager focused on process improvement and implementing systems to increase the firm's overall efficiency and productivity. Grandison currently serves as Next Generation Ambassador for the Los Angeles chapter of African American Real Estate Professionals, an organization dedicated to providing a supportive network for Black professionals working in the commercial real estate industry. Grandison's community service experience also includes volunteering as Operations Manager at his then startup church in Pomona, California. Grandison is expected to receive his Masters of Science in Real Estate from Chapman University in May 2023. He previously received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Azusa Pacific University.

Julia Stevenson

Julia Stevenson leads Langdon Park Capital's investment activities across the United States, and she has direct responsibility for the firm's workforce housing portfolio in the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Stevenson is based in the firm's Washington, DC office, and she is deeply involved in sourcing new investment opportunities and maintaining key relationships in the region. Stevenson also sits on the firm's Investment Committee. Stevenson is an impact investor with over 17 years of industry experience in commercial real estate development and finance. Prior to joining Langdon Park Capital, Stevenson worked for LISC Strategic Investments, where she was responsible for deploying capital for its $250 million flagship fund, the Black Economic Development Fund. Prior to LISC, she was Vice President at Banneker Ventures, a Black-owned development firm, where her responsibilities included underwriting the firm's multifamily development investments, managing the company's overall cost of capital, and devising and building the firm's impact-focused investment management platform. Prior to Banneker, she was a Portfolio Manager at Eagle Bank, where she oversaw a $400 million portfolio of commercial real estate loans, and underwrote construction, pre-construction, commercial, single-family land development and bridge-to-permanent financing for market rate transactions. Stevenson's career began as an Assistant Project Manager with the Howard County Housing Commission, where she worked on the historic renovation of County-owned projects in Baltimore, MD. Stevenson serves on the Board of Directors for CREW DC and is she is an active member of ULI Washington. Stevenson received a Masters of Science in Finance from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a Bachelors of Arts in Urban Studies from Brown University. Stevenson is based in Langdon Park Capital's Washington, DC office.

Malcolm Johnson - CEO

Malcolm Johnson directs Langdon Park Capital's overall strategy and operations. Previously, he was a Director in JPMorgan's Commercial Real Estate group, where he led the firm's efforts on a new platform that deployed equity into affordable and workforce housing projects in markets across the country. Johnson joined JPMorgan in 2012 as the senior coverage banker in the firm's Real Estate Banking group in Los Angeles, where he underwrote and arranged $3 billion in debt financing for institutional real estate developers and investment firms. From 2006-2012, Johnson was a vice president in the Commercial Real Estate Banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to his banking career, Johnson played professional football with the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers from 1999-2003. Johnson has been a guest lecturer for the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, UCLA Anderson School of Business, University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the National Football League, and numerous schools and non-profit organizations in South Los Angeles and his native Washington, DC. Johnson serves on the Advisory Board for the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate at the University of Notre Dame, Sustaining Board for the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate, Board of Trustees for the Marlborough School and Corporate Advisory Board for The Brotherhood Crusade, a non-profit organization supporting low-income South Los Angeles residents. Johnson received his Masters in Business Administration from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business.

Nancy Guzman

Nancy Guzman supports Langdon Park Capital's Acquisition and Asset Management teams. Guzman assists with market research, sourcing, underwriting, due diligence and closing for acquisitions in the firm's target markets across the United States. Guzman is based in the firm's Los Angeles, CA office, and she reports to the firm's Director, Acquisitions. Guzman also participates in the firm's Investment Committee process and helps with asset- and fund-level investor reporting. Prior to joining Langdon Park Capital, Guzman served as Development Director for the Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC), where she managed affordable housing development projects from conception through financing, design, and entitlements. During her time at HACC, she was responsible for a pipeline of over $142 million of development and rehabilitation projects. Before that, Guzman worked with a family office, where she led the acquisitions and development process for lifestyle hotel and luxury residential projects. Prior to her career in real estate, Guzman was a project manager in the aerospace manufacturing industry. Guzman currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alejandro Flores Foundation, an organization working to end educational inequity in Los Angeles. Guzman received her Masters of Business Administration from Cornell University and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
