PPMRM

The PPMRm was first piloted in 2008 in 10 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. As of 2021, 29 countries in Africa and Asia regularly report in the PPMRm. Data are used by the President's Malaria Initiative to highlight and address needs and potential supply challenges, including stockout situations... The Procurement Planning and Monitoring Report for malaria (PPMRm) provides data on stock availability for critical malaria commodities: artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs); sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine (SP) for intermittent preventive treatment during pregnancy; rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) for accurate malaria diagnosis, artesunate injectables and artesunate suppositories for severe malaria treatment. The report describes stock status of anti-malarial products on a country-by-country basis and is produced monthly. Data collection is provided by USAID partners, including the Global Health Supply Chain Project and country bilateral projects.
