Brady Barto

Brady Barto comes from Signal Hill Petroleum where he currently holds the position of Exploration Manager and has been with the company for over eighteen years. Mr. Barto also is a Planning Commissioner for the City of Newport Beach and holds a degree in Business Administration (B.B.A.), Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial studies from Chapman University. Brady states, "I believe my expertise in exploration and sustainability will complement the Board's existing skills and contribute to Purebase's long-term success."

Dr. Karen Scrivener

Dr. Scrivener graduated from Cambridge University in Materials Science in 1980 and went on to earn her PhD in Materials Science from Imperial College London. She was a Senior Scientist and Head of Calcium Aluminates Department for the Central Research Laboratory of Lafarge in France, and head of the Laboratory of Construction Materials in the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland. She has spent the majority of her life researching, speaking, and authoring reports on the most viable low-emission, sustainable cements for future construction throughout the world.

Dr. Kimberly Kurtis

Dr. Kurtis's innovative research on the multi-scale structure and performance of cement-based materials has resulted in more than 200 technical publications, as well as three US patents. Her group is particularly recognized its use of emerging methods and novel approaches to provide new fundamental insights into the behavior of cement pastes, mortars, and concretes necessary for improving their early age behavior and long-term durability. She earned her BSE (1994) in Civil Engineering from Tulane University under a Deans Honor Scholarship and her MS (1995) and PhD (1998) in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, where she was a Henry Hilp Fellow and a National Science Foundation (NSF) Fellow. She has held two leadership positions - Chairman of ACI Committee 236: Materials Science of Concrete (2006-2012) and Chair of American Ceramic Society's Cements Division (2008-2009) - central to advancing science-based research on cement-based materials. Dr. Kurtis has served as Associate Editor of ASCE Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering and on the Editorial Board of Cement and Concrete Composites.

Jeffrey Guzy

Mr. Guzy has had key executive positions at several large international companies, including Loral Space, Sprint International, Verizon, and IBM. He has held program and project start-up responsibilities along with senior business development positions at all these firms. Mr. Guzy has been working with emerging private companies and middle-market public companies to market their products, improve their investor/business relations, help them find capital, and develop corporate governance programs. Mr. Guzy is a private investor and advisor to several hi-tech companies.

John Bremer

John Bremer is a seasoned executive, managing successful businesses for the past 35 years. He is president of US Mine Corp. and remains the current CEO of GroWest, Inc. a holding company with subsidiary companies in heavy equipment rentals and property development. Mr. Bremer designed material input methodologies to reduce emissions from calcining cement, and this interaction and knowledge of the cement industry pioneered the creation of proprietary cement replacement products. Mr. Bremer earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly Pomona.

Joseph Thomas

Mr. Thomas has over 30 years of experience with cementitious materials, focusing on SCMs, natural pozzolans, blended cements, lightweight cements, ultrafine cementitious grouts, lightweight aggregates, and the remediation of non-spec waste products, which have cementitious value. Since 2013, Mr. Thomas has been the owner of Magmatics, Inc., a consulting firm focused on pozzolanic and cementitious materials product development, oil field cementing, concrete mix design, and concrete admixtures. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Research & Development at Hess Pumice Products, a pumice mining and processing company where he helped develop their various natural pozzolan products and helped to establish their marketing/sales footprint in Asia and Europe, as well as across North America. Mr. Thomas graduated from the University of Idaho (Moscow) with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982. He is currently the Executive Dir ector of the Natural Pozzolan Association (NPA), the Chair of the American Concrete Institute's (ACI) 240 Pozzolan Committee and serves as the Natural Pozzolan Task Group Chair at the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). He is responsible for 9 patents related to pozzolans and remediated SCMs in the cementitious materials industry.

Scott Dockter - CEO

Mr. Dockter has decades of experience in corporate development and has launched and executed several start-ups in the mining industry. He oversaw all aspects of strategic operations including mining processes, exploration, permitting, mine development, financing, operations, and mergers and acquisitions.

Steve Gillings - CFO
