STARKEY&BROWN - Key Persons
Aimee is our longest serving member of staff in Scunthorpe, joining the company on its very first opening day back in January 2013 as Lettings Consultant. She has since risen steadily through the ranks, becoming Senior Sales & Lettings Consultant in 2015 and in August 2023 was promoted to Branch Manager. Born and bred in Scunthorpe she has lived in the town all her life. Aimee has always worked in estate agency and when she's not dealing with landlords, tenants, vendors and buyers she enjoys cooking, reading and her most prized possessions - her dogs Lola and Dolly.
Angie joined Starkey&Brown in September 2013 as Sales Progressor. With a wealth of estate agency experience behind her, Angie liaises between clients, solicitors, surveyors and other agents, nudging them along the way so they get the process done that little bit quicker. Angie passed her NFOPP Level 3 Award in September 2014 and loves the buzz that comes from completing on a sale even if the going has been tough. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and seeing her family and grandchildren.

Anita originally joined Starkey&Brown in August 2014 and worked in roles of Sales Consultant, Sales Progressor and Property Coordinator before leaving in November 2019. She returned in May 2021 as Sales Consultant. Anita is the ultimate rock chick and often attends rock festivals up and down the country. When she's not strumming an air guitar she enjoys meals out and being top nannie to her grandchildren.
Ben joined Starkey&Brown in August 2014 as a part-time Sales Consultant, becoming full-time in May 2017. In April 2021 he was promoted to Senior Sales Consultant and in November 2024 became Branch Manager. When he's not hard at work selling houses, Ben spends most of his time in soft play areas and on days out with his two children. He's also partial to the odd game of darts.

David, who was born in Scunthorpe, has a wealth of estate agency experience, predominantly in Lincoln, but also in Boston, London and even in the USA!! He is married with three children, likes travelling and has recently taken up cycling. Another of David's passions is surfing, which he likes to do as regularly as possible, at various coastal points around England, even in the winter!!!

Frazer joined Starkey&Brown as a Sales Consultant in July 2015, and made the big bold move to become a Property Consultant in March 2017, moving into a senior role in January 2020. Frazer comes with an impressive sporting background and has qualifications galore in fitness training, football coaching and fitness instructing. He has also achieved a triple distinction in Sport (Performance & Excellence). With apprenticeships in Sporting Excellence and more impressively as a footballer at Lincoln City, Frazer went on to play for Lincoln City at a professional level. He also has a HNC in Construction and Civil Engineering.

Freya joined our Scunthorpe sales and lettings team in February 2024 under an 18-month apprenticeship scheme where she will work towards her Business Administration qualification. When she's not busy learning the tricks of the trade, Freya likes going to the gym, walking her two dogs, Teddy and Rory, and spending time with her friends and family.

Georgi joined Starkey&Brown's sales team in June 2024 as Sales Consultant. Born in Lincoln she certainly knows her way around Lincoln and surrounding villages. When she's not busy selling properties, Georgi is putting fitness fanatics through their paces as a personal trainer. In her spare time she enjoys walking, going to festivals and spending time with family and friends.

Kara was born in Scunthorpe and has lived there all her life. She joined Starkey&Brown in June 2014 on an apprenticeship as our Administrator where she worked towards her NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration. By being savvy on social media, in 2019 she secured her new role in the business as Social Media & Marketing Media Administrator and then in 2021 added the role of Sales Consultant to her already impressive CV. In 2022 Kara became Starkey&Brown's Valuer and in 2023 added Assistant Manager to her Valuer title. Her spare time is spent socialising with her friends, going on holiday, and she's often partial to the odd party.

Kay joined Starkey&Brown as Letting Consultant in March 2022 after working for 12 years for the NHS. She was born in Grimsby and moved to Germany as a baby for four years, due to her father being in the Army. Kay moved to Scunthorpe in July 2019 with her family.
Her keen interests away from the workplace are reading, walking her two dogs and spending time with her husband, children and stepchildren. Kay has a passion for sharks and diving with great white sharks in a cage is top of her bucket list.

Lesley joined the company in January 2012 as PA to the Directors. Along with compiling, designing and writing company newsletters and other marketing material, she also takes care of payroll, accounting and the employment law side of the business, becoming HR Manager in February 2015. Born in Reading, Lesley settled in Lincoln to start her career in journalism and has spent more than 20 years working for newspapers and magazines up and down the country. Lesley describes her job at Starkey&Brown as ‘perfect', and one that certainly keeps her on her toes.

Louise joined Starkey&Brown's sales team as Viewings Advisor in May 2023. Being a busy mum of four, spare time isn't something Louise has much of, but when she does she enjoys long walks with her husky Luna, going to the gym and socialising. She's also partial to a bit of baking.

Lucy joined Starkey&Brown's Scunthorpe office in February 2018 as Sales Progressor. With a wealth of experience from a previous role as a conveyancing assistant, Lucy is responsible for progressing sales through to exchange and finally to the handing over of keys. In her spare time Lucy enjoys walking in the Lake District and Peak District and has completing the climb of Mount Snowdon as one of her main achievements. She is also a keen cook and gym enthusiast.
Melanie joined Starkey&Brown as Lettings Consultant in October 2024. Originally from Manchester, Melanie first came to Lincoln in 1988 after being posted to RAF Waddington during her career in supplies and logistics. She then fell in love with our great city - and decided to stay. With 30 years' experience in all areas of accounts - 14 of those years having been within lettings - Melanie has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in the lettings industry. She is also ARLA qualified which means that any rental properties will be totally safe in her hands. Happily married, Melanie loves spending time with her family and taking long walks with her two dogs.
Michael was born in Middlesbrough and has lived in Lincoln since he was 3 years old so has excellent knowledge of the local area. He has worked in the industry for over 20 years and is heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the business. Michael spends his spare time with his wife and two children and enjoys watching his favourite football team, Liverpool.

Sophie joined Starkey&Brown's team in March 2020 as Sales Consultant and was promoted to Senior Sales Consultant in November 2024. With many years of estate agency experience Sophie gives a first-class experience to all clients, whether selling or buying. She settled in Lincoln more than 25 years ago and classes herself as the ‘crazy Avon lady' in her spare time. She lives with husband Dean and Zipper the dog.

Suz was born in Nottingham and moved to Lincoln when she was 2 years old. She takes care of all administration duties in the office. Suz started with Starkey&Brown six months after the office doors opened in 2006 and was made Senior Administrator in January 2013. Her keen interests away from the workplace are going to the gym, music and camping trips. She enjoys travelling and names Hong Kong and New York as two of the best places she has travelled to.
