Alison Burrell

Alison has been working in the charity sector since 2007 after a teaching career in the UK and Thailand. Alison has a successful track record of managing projects and partnerships in the charity sector at both local and national level. Most recently working as Partnerships Manager for Citizens Advice Brighton and Hove managing a financial inclusion partnership and a social welfare law advice partnership for the city as well as setting up the Brighton and Hove Universal Credit Digital and Budgeting Support Project. Alison has held previous roles at Sussex Community Development Association, Brighton Housing Trust and National Deaf Children's Society.

Anna Hampton

After working as a PA in London for many years, Anna joined Alexandra Rose Charity (or Alexandra Rose Day as it was then called) in 2006. She has experienced every role within the charity from running their events to organising the Special Appeal Fund and Rose Day collections across the country and is now very involved with the delivery of the voucher project. In her spare time she enjoys travel, cooking, updating furniture and catching up with old friends.

Ashleigh Hall

Ashleigh has a background in project co-ordination and has worked for both the corporate sector and not for profit organisations. Her previous role was at a small local charity, where she gained experience of helping people in their local community. She ran projects to improve mental wellbeing and reduce social isolation across all age groups. Ashleigh has a passion for helping people and making a real difference to communities. When not at work, Ashleigh can be found out and about keeping her children busy and out of trouble!

Cath Elliston

Cath has a background in campaigning and advocacy for social causes, with previous clients including Elton John AIDS Foundation and Gordon and Sarah Brown's charity Theirworld. In 2019, she helped to set up the charity Bite Back 2030, a youth movement for a fairer food system and she now works alongside many of those brilliant teenage campaigners as Head of Campaigning for the Jamie Oliver Group, working to make sure all kids can access affordable, joyful, nutritious and delicious food through more effective Government policy and business practice.

Celia Cole

Celia has spent the last 10 years in food retail working on sustainable supply chains. She's spent time exploring sustainability from various perspectives and geographies, most recently spending a year supporting suppliers on the ground in Latin America & the Caribbean. She previously ran a number of supermarkets in Greater London and now works to mainstream sustainability and purpose into Sainsbury's products and propositions. She's a keen runner, baker and (amateur) gardener!

Charles Clarke

Charles is a software engineer with a twenty year career in the field that is now known as cyber security. He is currently serving as Head of Security Architecture for the London Stock Exchange Group. Outside of work Charles volunteers as a skipper with Rona Sailing Project, a site manager with the Aimar Foundation, and has previous been a Code Club leader at a local school. A Londoner by birth, he lives with his wife Brigid in Mile End, where they both enjoy sharing food cooked with recipes picked up from their travels.

Dominic Tayler

Dominic Tayler is a skilled Asset Manager with over twenty years experience in handling portfolios for charitable organisations, pension funds and private clients. Currently an Executive Director of Quilter Cheviot Asset Management, one of the UK's largest independently owned investment firms, Dominic also serves as a Governor of Downside School in Somerset and Trustee of the Patrick and Helena Frost Foundation. Together with his wife Sophia, Dominic has been involved with Alexandra Rose Charity for over 25 years.

Eleanor Wilton

Eleanor has worked in the charity sector since 2013. Her previous role was at London Youth; a charity who work with young Londoners across the capital on a variety of programmes, from engaging young people in outdoor activities to supporting them into employment. During her time at London Youth Eleanor was based in the Ashdown Forest where she was the Assistant Development Manager at one of London Youth's outdoor centres, Hindleap Warren. Here Eleanor gained knowledge of the outdoor industry and a passion for promoting and providing outdoor education and healthy living opportunities for those who might not otherwise have access to such experiences. Her previous roles include membership management at the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce and PR for a clothing company.

Eloise Jarrett

Eloise has a background in marketing and fundraising and has previously worked for both corporate and not for profit organisations. She has joined the team from The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, who supports The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. During her time at the charity, Eloise led multiple, successful campaigns for the fundraising team and particularly focused on improving supporter engagement and retention by creating supporter communication journeys. Eloise has a big interest in digital fundraising and enjoy the challenge of growing social media channel audiences using creative content marketing. When Eloise isn't at work, she can be found walking her cockapoo puppy, Wilbur, on the beach or going for long walks at National Trust properties (which always has to include a cream tea)! She also enjoying getting crafty and will usually have a DIY upcycle project on the go, a pottery project or can be found in the kitchen baking big special occasion cakes for friends and family!

Faith Holland

Faith has worked in the charity sector since 2004 and has a successful track record of delivering in the areas of community and food. Her previous experience includes being part of the campaigns team at The Fairtrade Foundation. She has also worked with Alexandra Rose Charity's project partners Food Matters, on Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg. Prior to that Faith worked for Anchor Staying Put in Brighton and Hove, delivering community projects to support older people and people with disabilities. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and has lectured on the subject of Food and Culinary Arts.

Fanny Kokocinska

Fanny moved to London from Paris in 2007 after graduating from the École supérieure de commerce (ESC) de Troyes Business School with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) focused on International Strategy. She also holds a Masters in European Modern Languages in Polish & English from Université Paris-Sorbonne. Multilingual experienced Banking professional, Fanny has held various roles in the Financial sector. Her passion for Philanthropy & Impact Investing stems from 2010 when she volunteered in the Philippines in micro-finance. Since then she has played important roles in various charities, both as trustee, strategic advisor, or consultant.

Hannah Dakin

Hannah is a Public Health Nutritionist with a background in the coordination and management of community based programmes. She has four years' experience working with local communities in Hertfordshire and the London Boroughs, delivering and leading on family weight management programmes. She has also worked in corporate health, delivering and designing bespoke wellbeing services for a number of reputable clients including the Civil Service, Asda and Ikea. When Hannah isn't working, she loves to cook and keep active by running. She also runs a social media account, sharing recipes and nutritional information. In her spare time Hannah mentors a number of nutrition graduates and volunteers for the charity Bags of Taste.

Jonathan Pauling - CEO

Jonathan has spent the past 15 years working at the nexus of food, health, social justice and sustainability. Prior to joining Alexandra Rose he was the Principal Policy Officer for the Mayor of London's Food Board. His work here included leading the implementation of the Mayor's Food Strategy to develop sustainable supply chains including the development and implementation of food standards for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He was also a commissioner for the Commission for Sustainable London 2012 which oversaw the assurance of the social and environmental objectives of the London Games. He also has a track record of leadership in the voluntary sector having headed up a large team for the London social regeneration charity East Potential and as the Strategic Manager for the food poverty charity The Newham Food Access Partnership. Jonathan hails from New Zealand and was educated at the University of Canterbury.

Lucy Dawson

Lucy is an experienced accounts technician and has a wide scope of experience working in finance and administration for charities in the Early Years, adults with learning difficulties, and adult education sectors. She started her career as a chef but always found the nutritional and theoretical side of cooking more enjoyable than the cooking itself and has maintained a keen interest in nutrition and reducing food waste. When not at work she loves spending time in her garden, with her family, walking her two dogs, and going to the theatre or cinema.

Mara Richard

Mara Larson-Richard brings experience from politics, education and technology to her role as co-CEO of Ada's List, Europe's largest community for women in technology. Mara started her career working for Hillary Clinton, founded and successfully exited her own business, and most recently founded and grew the International business for Civitas Learning, an AI company serving more than 400 educational institutions globally. Mara is a frequent speaker on AI, data and ethics, including providing testimony in the British Parliament at the Technology and Data Ethics Inquiry. Along with her work at Ada's List, Mara is currently attending the INSEAD GEMBA programme and is an active research contributor on the project lead by Northumbria University on using predictive analytics to improve student wellbeing as part of the Office for Students Mental Health Challenge Call. Mara lives in London where she loves pilates, unique experiences and spicy food.

Mark Ainsworth

Mark is an experienced senior finance professional who has recently held Head of Finance positions in charities in the learning disability and animal welfare sectors. He is a qualified management accountant who started his career in the private sector working in both finance roles and for two of the UK's largest management consultancies. He has since spent much of the last 20 years of his career working for organisations supporting children, young people and adults facing social and economic disadvantages and inequalities. Outside of work Mark is an avid music fan covering genres from the 60s to the present day and delights in supporting obscure bands which most people have not heard of.

Michelle Green

Michelle is a social impact professional with a background in academic research. She has 5 years experience of working on projects that tackle social and economic inequalities, including mental health stigma, increasing beauty demands, religious minority representation in public policy (University of Birmingham), and the global challenge to end contemporary slavery by 2030 (Walk Free Foundation). She started her career in research at the University of Nottingham with funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council, where her work revealed how the novel has been an important cultural form for tracking medical and social changes since the 1960s.

Richard Lupton

Stephanie Golder

Stephanie has a background in social housing, managing tenancies and supporting vulnerable households in London. A passion for food and the environment led her to a multitude of volunteering roles in the food and farming sector. She is currently studying for an MSc in Sustainable Food and Natural Resources and runs a local community group, growing veg in public spaces and encouraging people to connect to nature.

Stephanie Slater

After 20 years working in film production Stephanie decided to take a break to enjoy time with her two children. In 2007 she set up School Food Matters, a charity campaigning for fresh sustainable food in schools and promoting food education through cooking, growing and visits to farms. In 2012 she was invited to join the School Food Plan's expert panel, tasked by the Department for Education to create an action plan to help head teachers improve school food. She now chairs the School Food Plan Alliance. Stephanie is a trustee of Sustain; the alliance for better food and farming, and a governor at Grey Court School.
