Chetan Dube - CEO, Founder

Chetan Dube has served as the CEO of Amelia (formerly IPsoft) since its inception in 1998. During his tenure, he has led the company to create a radical shift in the way IT is managed. Dube is a mathematician and prior to joining Amelia, he served as an Assistant Professor at New York University. Chetan Dube is a widely recognized speaker on autonomics, cognitive computing and the future impact of a digital workforce. He serves on the board of numerous IT-related institutions. In 2017, he was listed as one of the Nine Greatest AI minds in the world to keep an eye on by Forbes. He is also a distinguished member of the Forbes Technology Council. He was born 1966 in Bhagalpur, India, and raised in Paris and London. Dube earned a degree in electrical engineering from IIT Delhi and then came to the U.S. to pursue a doctorate in theoretical computer science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University (NYU). While at NYU, he began exploring the Artificial Intelligence principles and philosophies that form the basis of the Amelia platform. Dube was fascinated by the Turing enigma, which examines whether machines can think. As opposed to narrow AI (where non-sentient programs are focused on narrow tasks), Dube's research has focused on deep AI. He pioneered the use of AI-enabled digital labor across industries. He's been awarded several U.S. patents for developing cognitive models, and EY recognized him as "Entrepreneur of the Year" for leading research in AI emulating human thinking and approaching the Turing horizon. Chetan Dube, Amelia's founder and CEO, believed that the IT infrastructure and business operations of the future would be managed not by people but by expert systems. He envisioned a world in which mundane engineering and administrative chores would be automated, freeing business professionals, engineers and technologists to focus on creative endeavors and innovation.

Jonathan Crane - Chief Commercial Officer

Jonathan Crane has been a communications industry leader for more than 35 years. Jonathan has held numerous executive positions in corporations such as ROLM, Savvis, Lightstream, Marcam Solutions and MCI. He was one of the key architects of the early success of MCI, and was brought back to lead the troubled WorldCom out of bankruptcy. As the Chief Strategy Officer, he orchestrated the acquisitions of key strategic assets. Most recently, Jonathan was the Chairman of the Board and President of Savvis.

Lanham Napier - President

Lanham Napier joined Amelia as President in January 2023 as part of a strategic partnership between Amelia and BuildGroup, an Austin, TX based operating company that builds and funds technology businesses with modern business models. Lanham co-founded BuildGroup in 2015 with an experienced team of operators and investors who believe entrepreneurs need an alternative to the traditional thinking found in private equity and venture capital. The firm's strategy is based on a long-term investment approach that helps companies accelerate their current business while establishing the foundation for significant future growth. Prior to co-founding BuildGroup, Lanham was the CEO of Rackspace for several years. Under his leadership Rackspace grew sales from $1.5 million to $1.5 billion and expanded into a global leader in the managed hosting industry. Rackspace differentiated itself based on its renowned Fanatical Support which created incredible customer outcomes. Rackspace's culture was globally recognized as one of the Best 100 Companies to Work For by Fortune and Glassdoor. During this growth period Lanham was recognized by Forbes as one of America's Most Powerful CEOs 40 and Under and was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Executives by CRN. Lanham has also been honored by Ernst & Young as an entrepreneur of the year and is a member of the Young President's Organization. Lanham's career focus is to play a part in creating jobs so people can realize their full potential, take care of their families, and build great companies and products. Outside of his professional endeavors, Lanham has served on several non-profit boards including the board of St. Mary's Hall School, St Mary's University Forum of Entrepreneurship and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Napier Family Foundation was established by Lanham and his wife to provide financial support for first generation Americans to attend university. Lanham is a fifth generation Texan who loves to spend time in the field chasing quail and at the house honing his pit master skills. His specialty is a family recipe for mesquite smoked baby back ribs.

Thomas Wilkinson - CFO

Tom joined Amelia as Chief Financial Officer in January 2022. He has focused on strategic and turnaround consulting as well as financial advisory for small and medium-sized public and privately held businesses. From October 2019 to May 2021, Tom served as CEO for Sonim Technologies, a NASDAQ listed public company. From August 2015 until October 2018, he served as CFO and ultimately CEO at Xplore Technologies Corp., a NASDAQ listed public company. Prior to Xplore, he served as CFO at Amherst Holdings, LLC. Tom was the co-founder and Managing Partner of PMB Helin Donovan, a regional public accounting firm, and also worked in public accounting at KPMG and Ernst & Young. He currently serves on the board of directors of two public companies, Astrotech Corporation and CipherLoc Corporation, as well as private companies. Tom received a Master's of Professional Accounting and a Bachelor's of Business Administration from University of Texas at Austin in 1992, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
