ASTN is a special interest group of the SSA and is the key body in promoting, facilitating and coordinating both commercially-sponsored and investigator-initiated stroke trials in Australasia. The network provides an effective communication channel between local clinicians and study sponsors and has played an increasingly important role in attracting studies to our part of the world... The ASTN is a not for profit organisation established in 1996 as a small cohesive professional network of stroke clinicians committed to the improvement in the treatment of stroke.
