BROUGHTON CORNER FAMILY PRACTICE - Key Persons
Dr Ravi Vajpeyi worked as a single-handed GP from this site from 1983 until her death in 2004. She was joined by her daughter, Dr Nilanjana Vajpeyi in October 2003 and the then practice manager, Christian Lyons, in December 2003. After Dr. Ravi Vajpeyi's untimely death, Dr Nilanjana Vajpeyi signed the PMS contact with the then Croydon PCT on the 11th March 2004.
In an effort improve the patient experience and the working environment of staff Dr Vajpeyi and Christian Lyons modernised the facilities in 2005 and 2006. This resulted in an increase in clinical space to the current 200m 2. The refurbishment of the premises was designed by the award winning architect Parag Sharma. The refurbished premises now comply with DDA, fire, privacy, security, infection control and size requirements necessary to practice safe healthcare. The premises have been inspected by NHS Croydon, the Care Quality Commission and Oakleaf Surveyors. All have identified that the premises are well presented and fully fit for purpose.
