James graduated from Glasgow University Vet School in 1979 and having worked in practices in Co. Antrim, Somerset and Northamptonshire, he came to Dunstable as an assistant in 1986 when the name of Icknield Vet Group was first coined.

Veterinary Surgeon Katrin comes to us with a wealth of experience in busy veterinary practices. Katrin has a keen interest in surgery and is undergoing an advanced certificate in surgery. In her spare time Katrin enjoys dancing and the outdoors.
Kim joined us in July 2002 as an animal care assistant, she is now our Head Theatre Nurse. Her veterinary interests are rabbits and guinea pigs and she is also interested in surgery. Apart from animals, her main hobby is swimming.

Mandy joined the Harpenden branch more than 30 years ago as a General Assistant and is now a Animal Healthcare Assistant. In her spare time she spends time with her family, 3 cats and her dog Stanley.

Clinical Director - Paul is an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner and holds a certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Paul enjoys performing life changing airway surgery for our many bulldogs and orthopaedic surgery where he can get ‘in the zone' In his spare time Paul enjoys cycling in different settings and at home he has a Jack Russell Terrier called Tiny and a Greyhound called Larry.
Rebecca qualified in 2019 and has been working in small animal practice ever since. She has a keen interest in dentistry and also enjoys working with our small furry patients! Rebecca has 3 rescue cats and 2 guinea pigs at home.
Ricardo graduated from the University of Zaragoza, Spain in 1994. He moved to the UK in 1996 and after working in several different practices, joined ICKNIELD Veterinary Group in 2002. Based primarily in Dunstable and Luton surgeries, Ricardo enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery. At home he has a family cat called Mimi and a rescue dog called Patch. They enjoy long walks in the countryside (with Patch not Mimi). Ricardo also enjoys skiing, music and photography.
