I have a passion for cooking and I really love food. I also have a passion for travelling and trying different food from different countries and cultures.

Dawn Critchell

My name is Dawn and I deal with all aspects of administration within the home, including being in regular contact with residents and their families, which is part of the role I really enjoy. In my spare time, I am a keen gardener. I have landscaped my back garden to encompass a range of different plants to ensure a vibrant colour-scape throughout the year. I also enjoy cooking for my family, embroidery and I read a wide range of fiction.

Gerry Green

My name is Gerry and I joined Lincombe Manor Care Centre in April 2015 as the Maintenance Manager. I have a carpentry and joinery background and have spent many years as a building supervisor in the construction industry. I am responsible for all the general maintenance and safety around the home. I also drive the minibus and enjoy taking residents out on day trips. I have passion for my work and like to make sure the residents and visitors have a pleasant and safe environment to live in and visit.

Hannah Gates

My name is Hannah, I am a receptionist at Oak Hall Care home. Before I started here I worked in the hospitality industry for 9 years, so I have a lot of experience dealing with the public. I have created some strong relationships with the residents and colleagues. We are like one big family and I really enjoy working here. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and often go on country dog walks with my dad and step-mum.

Holly Bishop

Holly has worked in the care sector since leaving school. She has always enjoyed making a difference to people's lives and particularly enjoys working in the field of mental health. Being a naturally organised person with an interest in Human Resources, Holly is perfectly suited to the role of Home Administrator. She will always greet you with a friendly smile and will be on hand to help you as best as she can.

Jane McAuley

I was born in Derbyshire and commenced my nursing career at 17 years old. Having obtained both RNMH and RGN qualifications I spent my early career running units for people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. I moved south from Derbyshire over 25 years ago and commenced by career managing care homes. During this time I worked in London for almost 11 years as the Home Manager at a home for ex service personnel. I now live in Hampshire with two of my four children and their dog. I am passionate about putting residents as the first priority and also using my teaching degree to help staff with training and development. Two of my sons work within the caring sector and my daughter is studying to be a youth worker.

Justine Thelwell

Justine was appointed General Manager of Lincombe Manor Care Centre in March 2019. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse in January 1992 after completing her training in Clatterbridge and Arrowe Park Hospitals on the Wirral. She spent ten years at King Edward VII Hospital for Officers, Sister Agnes in Marylebone where she started as a junior staff nurse and ended her time there as Ward Manager. During her time at King Edwards Justine was privileged to nurse members of the British Royal family. She nursed the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret and is proud to have been of service to them. Justine has also nursed past and present Prime Ministers, foreign dignitaries and VIP's and too many amazing film stars to mention. She takes great pride in nursing members of the armed forces and feels honoured to have nursed them back to health. Justine feels this part of her career shaped her for the future and made her the manager she is today. Recruiting and retaining team members who are committed and passionate about the delivery of person-centred care is pivotal to her. She is proud to develop and nurture a team to a level where they are self-sufficient, productive, loyal and most importantly happy. Happy teams make happy residents which makes a happy home. Away from work Justine lives in Torquay with her husband of five years John, her daughter Jess now a young woman currently forging her own career in the care sector and her ageing, much loved Jack Russell Trio who is never far from her side. Together they enjoy family time at home, exploring the world and meeting different cultures with a passion for interior design and cooking. My name is Katie, I am a Care Assistant at Oak Hall Care Home. I started in April 2019, and since then I have developed strong & meaningful relationships with the residents here. It is a wonderful place to work and I enjoy it every day. When I am not working, I love spending time with my children.

Morgan Mason

I studied at The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts in London and have previously worked in some top-end London restaurants & hotels. I joined the team in June 2020 and have enjoyed working in the kitchen to provide traditional restaurant-style food that is beautifully presented. I enjoy my role at Oak Hall and know how important the standard of food is to our residents. I particularly enjoy creating special menus for residents' birthdays, and for the various events we hold at Oak Hall Care Home.

Peter Middleton

Hello my name is Peter and I have worked at Lincombe Manor Care Centre for 1 year now as the Head Chef. I have worked in the catering industry for 35 years and previously owned my own restaurant here in Torquay. In my spare time I enjoy riding my motorbike, going to the gym and getting out on my kayak.

Roxanne McIntyre

Hello, my name is Roxanne and I am the head of the wellbeing programme here at Lincombe Manor Care Centre. I have been here for 6 years and have worked in care for just over 8 years. When I first started here, I was a Care Assistant and have worked my way to Wellbeing Coordinator and then to Head Wellbeing Coordinator. I really enjoy my job where I get to plan alongside residents the activities they would like to see and do. I also enjoy that I get to spend quality time with the residents in either one to one visits or group sessions. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends, walk my dogs and go swimming.

Susan Foster
