Adrian Chin

Adrian brings to Morph Outdoors over 25 years of technical and practical knowledge garnered from competing and participating in adventure sports across the globe. As a pioneer of the rock-climbing fraternity in Malaysia, he became one of the first few Malaysians to compete in the international rock-climbing arena, placing 5th in the regional Rock On competition. With his certification as a climbing instructor by Federation Francais de la Montagne et de L'escalade (FFME) as well as a national route setting instructor accreditation by Comité International la Compétition l' Escalade (CICE), Adrian has changed the face of rock-climbing in this country. His outdoor escapades have brought him around the world, providing him with invaluable insights that have stood him well in the area of training and facilitation. His wealth of experience has also earned him a reputation as one of the country's leading consultants in adventure skills and extreme sports. These include being course directors for notable adventure sports challenges such as Marlboro Adventure Team, the Mild Seven Outdoor Quests, and most recently, as Race Director of Adventure Racing World Series, Malaysian edition. Adrian is committed to seeking out all opportunities for growth and potential in our clients, both the young and old, individuals and corporates, to enable the most effective learning experience for all. He firmly believes that outdoor experiential learning is one of the most effective ways to instill knowledge and skills that are useful to both the individual and teams back in the concrete jungle. Alyssa Ng

Alyssa started her outdoor fitness journey since young and begun turning her passion into a professional career. Later, she soon developed a love for other outdoor activities such as rock climbing, muay thai, yoga, cross-fit and diving. With the experience being in the education industry, Alyssa is also a sensible individual who understand the needs of her students and always deliver the best she can to ensure that their well-being is taken care of. Merging the best of both worlds that Alyssa is familiar with, she has helped develop countless fitness curriculums for non-profit organizations that helps young children benefit from it. Alyssa advocates a good and healthy lifestyle. Despite all of that, Alyssa is also a banker who is currently located at the United States of America and works to bridge outdoor companies with Morph Outdoors today.

Derik Ng

Derik is a passionate outdoorsman with his interest of the outdoors starting at the early age of 7 when he learnt mountain biking. He soon developed a love for other outdoor activities such as for hiking, kayaking, diving and was a young prodigy in the competitive rock- climbing scene. Introduced to the rock climbing scene at the age of 13, Derik began to compete the following year and racked his first podium finish in 2011. He soon cemented his reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the world of competitive rock- climbing when he established himself as one of the youngest competitors to be ranked in many prestigious national competitions. These included Pumpfest Singapore, PJ International Climbing Fair, Climbfest Putrajaya and Boulders Competition Wisconsin USA. The highlight of his climbing career and his most notable achievement was when he was chosen to be part of the team representing Malaysia to compete in the IFSC Asia Youth World Championships 2016. Derik also gained invaluable experiences and understanding of management and outdoor education during his undergraduate years in Wisconsin, USA, where he had the opportunity to engage with many outdoor companies (Crystalaire Adventures, Camp Lookout, Sett Recreational, Hoofers Mountaineering). Apart from his experiences in the United States, Derik was also the Assistant Race Director of Adventure Race World Series (ARWS) 2019 in Malaysia which contributed towards his growth of his management and decision-making abilities.

Lim Kian Kai

Despite a background in finance, KK has always had a strong affinity with Mother Nature. He enjoys hiking, kayaking and even martial arts, achieving 1st runner up in the Dragon Muay Thai Amateur Fight 2014. KK first discovered the thrill of rock climbing five years ago. He continued being a passionate climber while pursuing his finance degree in the United States. While there, he had the opportunity to become a bouldering instructor and route setter at a local bouldering gym in Chicago. Since then KK has climbed in multiple locations across both the US and Malaysia. In 2019 he emerged 1st runner up in an in-house Rockworld Boulder competition remains an active climber even till today.

Ryan Chew

Ryan graduated with a diploma in culinary arts from Sunway University and started working in the outdoor field back in 2019. From an early age, Ryan always had an interest towards the outdoors and had been slowly exposing himself towards different types of outdoor sports such as diving, rock climbing, cycling and many more. That curiosity slowly grew until he became a certified dive master by PADI where he gained from the Perhentian Islands after graduating his SPM education and began leading dive trips. Yet more, he finally found his forte' through the youth development residential programs where he worked with different companies across Malaysia and gained his credentials and expertise in the field. Today, Ryan combines his knowledge and experiences from the kitchen to the outdoors by making wonderful backwoodsman meals whenever he gets a chance. He was also the head judge for the SEAL challenge backwoodsman competition back in 2019. Today, Ryan shares his skills and coaches the youth on character development and camping skills. Skipper Norma

An avid sailor, outdoor recreationist, swimmer, barista and a capoerista. Trained in the principles of Leave No Trace as a Trainer, an Award Leader in the tenets of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, a WOSM Consultant for the Diversity & Inclusion portfolio and a Woodbadge 2 Beader for the Scouts section in non-formal education, the Scout Methods. These experiences and qualifications supplements her delivery methods of the Sea Scout and Sea Rover Programme, Land and Sea Navigation courses, Self Awareness In Leadership Training (SAIL) as well as Good Seamanship in Sail Training. Awarded the King's Scout Award in 2002 at 17 years old, Norma continues to facilitate young people to achieve the King's Scout Award, the Baden-Powell Award and encourages adults in Scouting towards completing their Woodbadge certification. A Medical Bioscience graduate from Monash University and a Marine Surveyor by profession, enables the use of her knowledge and experiences in matters of the maritime which complements the courses she conducts. Her passion in music, philosophy, linguistics and holistic living drives her diligence in pursuing to master the mrdangam, classical guitar, classical Indian flute, competency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hindi, Nepali and Cantonese languages and continuous training in Capoeira and in Gymnastics for fitness.

Zaim Idris

Zaim, a true nature crusader and by far one of the most accomplished Outdoor Adventure Coach and Trainer. He is certified by The Ministry of Youth and Sports in the field of recreational training and methodology. He takes great care in designing training programs and events which involves transformation and enhancement of skills through experiential and value-based learning. Zaim believes in long-term tangible change in the way people do things, and his training programs are both intellectually and emotionally challenging. Using both outdoors and indoor as a vehicle for learning, and where genuine input involving success will achieve lasting impact where it matters most. Zaim creates and lead numerous development and improvement programs/ initiatives. He has more than 10 years' experience in integrating experiential learning, certified by the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia with a track record as "The Preferred Trainer" in team building, corporate trainings, corporate events and adventure learning. Zaim is also certified by the Wilderness Medical Associates and is a competent Wilderness First Responder.
