MERRYGATE DENTAL PRACTICE - Key Persons
Fawad graduated from the University of Bristol in 2011. After completing his foundation training in the Oxford deanery, he undertook additional hospital training roles in maxillofacial surgery and restorative dentistry. During this time, he was awarded with the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Following this, Fawad returned to general dental practice where he developed an interest in endodontics (root canal treatment). In 2016 he was selected for the Masters in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital, which he successfully completed in 2018 and now he works at multiple dental practices where he has limited his work to Endodontics, treating cases on a referral basis.
Outside of dentistry, Fawad is a keen cricketer playing for his local club. He is a keen explorer and enjoys mountain hiking in his spare time - always on the lookout for his next challenge!

Tracey has been working at Merrygate Dental since 2005.
She qualified in 1993 from Guy's Dental Hospital. After a few years working in oral surgery within the hospital system, Tracey has dedicated her career to general dental practice.
Tracey has a gentle, friendly approach which has endeared her to generations of patents and they often come from near and far to have their teeth looked after. She provides a comprehensive range of dental treatments and has an interest in providing oral surgery within the practice.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and prides herself on her gentle, friendly approach.
Uzma qualified from King's College London in 2002 and was a House Officer both at King's and in Guy's Hospital, working in Oral Medicine, Special Care dentistry dealing with phobic patients and Restorative Dentistry.
Having completed her MFDS with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005 she has been in general practice in the south of London and Kent for (the last 12 years and also provided emergency dental care for the Croydon Primary Care Trust for 9 years.
She completed her four-year Masters in Clinical Dentistry and graduated with Distinction at King's College London.
This degree was in advanced restorative dental care, cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, dentures and implants, care of the elderly and nervous patients. She is currently editing her dissertation for publication.
Uzma brings her experience, academia, and her own take on minimally invasive or conservative dentistry and is interested in providing excellent quality dentistry for her patients in a comfortable environment.
Kirsty qualified as a Dental Nurse over 10 years ago and joined the practice in August 2014. She is available every day of the week with a reassuring smile and a kind word to help make your experience a comfortable one. Her main outside interest is horse riding and she enjoys competitive riding.
Kirsty has a young daughter who keeps her busy and who is often in the practice and has even been spotted in the reception chair welcoming patients in!

Laura qualified from the Eastman Dental Institute and works at the practice 2 days a week. Not only does she provide hygienist services, she also works as a dental therapist, providing fillings and extraction of children's teeth; something she is able to do thanks to her friendly nature.
Laura is very keen to promote good oral health and can help you to improve your general oral hygiene. She delivers a combination on non-surgical therapy combined with oral hygiene education to help stabilise and prevent any gum disease. She has a calm and caring approach that will help to put you at ease during your treatment.
Having worked as a dental nurse for 5 years before retraining, Laura has a unique perspective into patient management. She prides herself in being friendly and reassuring and aims to treat patients in a gentle fashion.
In her spare time, Laura loves to socialise with friends and enjoys going to the beach in the summer to paddle board. She has recently reignited her passion for tap dancing.
Lee was a dental nurse 25 years ago and joined our team as a dental receptionist in 2015. Lee is available most days of the week and is happy to help you with any queries you may have regarding your treatment.
In her spare time, she decorates wonderful cakes and enjoys long walks with her puppy, Milo.
She is always happy to co-ordinate your appointments or pop the kettle on if you would like to come in and have a chat with one of our clinical staff.
Lilija joined our practice in 2016 and is on hand with a reassuring smile to help make patients' visit to us more pleasant.
She has undergone an extensive 3 year nursing degree in Lithuania and chose to write her dissertation on domiciliary dentistry and access to care for the elderly and physically or mentally impaired. Lilija then converted her degree and qualified as a dental nurse in the UK in 2019.
Lilija is very popular particularly with children when dressed as a tooth fairy at our charity events. Lilija loves gardening and growing vegetables and fruit. She firmly describes herself as a cat lady and lives with her husband and her 2 feline friends locally.
Nancy comes from several generations of local villagers. She completed her National Diploma in Dental Nursing and became part of Merrygate Dental Practice team in 2019.
Nancy's gentle and warm-hearted nature is a great comfort for our patients. She works along side both dentists and hygienists to help provide a professional service.
Nancy is a keen photographer and her hobbies include fashion and textiles. She is also a foodie and particularly enjoys the Smoked and Uncut Festival at The Pig.

Eddie grew up in Canada where her introduction to dentistry began, she started my training as a Dental nurse and completed her training when she moved to England in my late teens and completed my dental nursing qualification.
Eddie qualified as a Dental Hygienist at Bristol Dental Hospital in 1980 and has been fortunate to have worked in various dental environments throughout her career. NHS practice, RAF Base in Germany, Harley Street and West end practices, and has worked in Hampshire and Dorset area since moving here some 22 years ago. She still loves her work and finds it very fulfilling.
Eddie aims to provide a relaxed and caring environment. Her goal is to give each patient individual tailored treatment, by giving advice and guidance on proven preventative techniques to maintain a healthy mouth.
She keeps her knowledge up to date by attending a variety of courses and further training programmes on a regular basis.
Rafae completed his law conversion 2010 from University of London after moving from Dubai. He joined the practice as Non-clinical director in 2015 and looks after the HR, practice policie and management and administrative aspects of the practice. Rafae also manages few practices in an around London area. He is always available to discuss any ways in which we can improve the services we offer so that patients can have the best possible experience from the moment they walk through our gates.
Rafae's primary passion has always been hospitality and he has provided legal support to several luxury international hotels. He brings this flair to Merrygate and has been key to the redesign of the practice over the years.
The only time he isn't available is in the summer when he will be found with the club members, captaining for the Brockenhurst Cricket team.
Originally from Cape Town, SA, Storm joined Merrygate in early 2020 and is available at reception 3 days a week. She has been invaluable particularly during her first year and has helped navigate the safe running of the practice and its patients.
Storm has a background in hospitality and has worked in several establishments at a managerial level. She has applied this skill to multitask efficiently and is here to coordinate your treatment and ensure the smooth running of our front of house.
Storm enjoys singing, dancing, food and friends and is competent at ballet having started training at 2 years old. She lives in Brockenhurst with her family.
