Beautifully situated on a former dairy farm, Bay Farm Montessori Academy is one of the oldest Montessori Schools in the South Shore Region. Since its founding, Bay Farm has been meeting the needs of families seeking schools for their children where respect and love of learning are central to their education... Bay Farm began as Munchkin Montessori in 1972 when Pam and Leo Malboeuf founded a small 8-student preschool in what is now the primary office. In 1982, a group of parents, who wished their children could continue their Montessori education beyond the kindergarten year, formed a Board of Trustees to create Bay Farm Academy, a Montessori elementary program. The two schools eventually merged to create Bay Farm Montessori Academy, serving children from 12 months to 6th Grade. In 2009, Bay Farm expanded its excellent educational programming to include students in 7th and 8th grade with the opening of its Middle School...
