Dr Jim O'Donovan

Dr Jim O'Donovan is a Consultant in Sports & Exercise medicine. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine and Programme Director for Higher Specialist Training in Sports and Exercise Medicine in Ireland. He completed his training with a fellowship at the Sports Surgery Clinic and the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He currently works at Sports Surgery Clinic Santry and Sport Ireland Institute. He was Chief Medical Officer for Tokyo 2021 Olympics and will be again for Paris 2024 Olympics. Dr O'Donovan sees patients of all ages and activity levels. He has experience in a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and performs ultrasound guided injections.

Dr. Catherine McKinley

Dr Catherine Mc Kinley, a native of Belfast, has been practicing paediatric dentistry since 1995. Catherine graduated with honors from the Dental School at Trinity College, Dublin in 1990 and started her career with 5 years in general dentistry. In 1995, Catherine married Joseph Mahon, a classmate from dental school and began specialty training in paediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There she completed a two-year, full-time, residency program in Paediatric dentistry followed by a third year, in a research and clinical teaching fellowship. Catherine remained as a part-time clinical assistant professor at the dental school while joining a group practice in San Antonio in 1999. In 2004, Catherine opened her own private practice in San Antonio and was awarded certification by the American Board of Paediatric Dentistry in the same year, also becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Paediatric Dentistry. After 14 enjoyable years in Texas and now having six children, Catherine and Joseph decided to return to Ireland and are very happy to have made Kilkenny their home. Dr O'Brennan's consultation rooms are based in Tullamore. Dr. Eimear O'Brennan is a Consultant Dermatologist on the specialist register of the Irish Medical Council. She completed her dermatology training in the Mersey Deanery, UK. Dr O'Brennan worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital Trust. On returning to Ireland in 2019, she worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at Tallaght University hospital prior to embarking on full time private practice. Dr. O'Brennan is a graduate of the University of Leicester, where she received the highest commendation for all undergraduate examinations. She received similar recognition for her outstanding performance in all three components of the MRCP UK examinations and the MRCP UK specialty examination in dermatology. She has presented her research at international conferences and has published widely in international journals. She has received numerous post graduate awards for her work.

Dr. Rose Marie Daly

Dr Rose-Marie Daly qualified in University College Cork and worked in private practice, community dentistry and the Dublin Dental Hospital before seeking specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry in Leeds in the UK. She obtained a Specialist Membership in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and a Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2009. Her masters research won awards from the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry and the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry. Her research evaluated the relationship between Glycaemic Index of carbohydrates and dental caries and childhood obesity and dental caries. In 2015 Dr Daly was awarded a Master of Law in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Edinburgh. Her dissertation examined oral health care in Ireland in relation to the compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Dr Rose-Marie Daly established Rose-Marie Dentistry for Children and joined the Beacon Hospital in 2017. She joined Charter Medical Private Hospital in Mullingar as a consultant in 2020 and operates from both hospitals. Prior to that she worked as a consultant in Pediatric Dentistry at the Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee since 2010. Her practice offers a bespoke service for children, providing comprehensive dental care from infancy through to adolescence. Her special interests include the management of dental disease in early childhood, dental developmental defects in primary and permanent teeth (weak teeth), preventive and non-invasive dental care, interceptive and preventive orthodontic care, behavioral acclimatization for anxious, phobic, and pre-cooperative children, treatment of tongue ties and dental trauma management in growing patients. She also collaborates closely with her sister practice, Northern Cross Dental where she and her brother and Orthodontist, Dr Kieran Daly to provide preventive orthodontic treatment for growing children and multidisciplinary coordinated planning and treatment for complex cases. The practices are located side by side and she and her brother love share their expertise, passion for their specialties and knowledge to achieve exceptional outcomes for their patients Dr Daly is a passionate advocate for paediatric oral health in Ireland and has written numerous syndicated articles helping parents understand the importance of oral health, preventive care, and early visits for children. She regularly lectures on paediatric oral health topics for health care professionals.

Dr. Taj Shaikh

Dr Taj Shaikh has a membership with the Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom and he also has a diploma in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has extensive knowledge in diagnosis and management of all General and Pediatric Dermatology conditions. Dr Shaikh's main areas of interest are common skin conditions like Acne Eczema Urticaria/Allergies. He also carries out dermatological surgery for removal of moles, pigmented lesions, skin cancer and other skin lesions.

Mr Kashif Siddiqui has recently commenced practice as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Charter Medical Private Hospital. Mr Rogers completed a two-year fellowship in the treatment of complex surgical and medical retinal disease in Dublin in 2017, after which he moved to the Wellington Eye Clinic on the Beacon Medical Campus Previously in 2014, he had sub-specialised as Glaucoma fellow in Melbourne, Australia at the prestigious Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Mr. Marc Guerin

Attaining an honours medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MB BCh BAO LRCP&SI) in 2002, Mr. Guerin also studied law at the Honourable Society of Kings Inns, Dublin and graduated as a Barrister- at- law (BL) with honours in 2000. He is the only person to simultaneously study law at Kings Inns and medicine, and retains a significant academic interest in medical law. He has also completed an honours degree in Civil Law (BCL) in University College Cork and a diploma in Health Economics from the National University of Ireland. Prior to commencing his training in ophthalmic surgery, Mr. Guerin received his academic Doctorate from University College, Dublin for his full time research in glaucoma eye disease. This body of work has resulted in international and national prizes, awards and publications, and he has lectured worldwide on his findings. He has authored over 20 international peer reviewed publications, including the longest follow up on laser eye surgery in the world (16 years postoperative follow up) and has written several ophthalmology and medico legal book chapters Having commenced his ophthalmology training in Ireland, Mr. Guerin was the only person in Ireland to be accepted onto the National Higher Surgical Training Scheme for Ophthalmic Surgery in 2009. At the end of his surgical training in Ireland, he received his Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training (CCST), indicating proficiency in all aspects of ophthalmic medicine and surgery. He has further been awarded Membership to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland He has completed international advanced surgical and eye laser training and was accepted onto the prestigious Cornea and Anterior Segment program at Moorfields Eye Hospital London in 2012. At Moorfields, Mr Guerin completed a Fellowship specialising in cataract, cornea, eye laser surgery, keratoconus and anterior segment eye surgery. Prior to this, he also completed a Fellowship in Refractive Laser and Cataract Surgery in the Mater Misericordiae University and Private Hospitals, Dublin. Mr Guerin is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCSI Ophth), a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London (MRCOphth), and a member of the Irish College of Ophthalmology (ICO). He is also a member of the European and UK and Ireland Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS, UKISCRS) and the Medico- Legal Society of Ireland. Of note, he adds all his cataract and eye laser surgery results to a central European database (EUREQUO) run by the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons and his outcomes are audited continuously. He is a regular speaker at international conferences and is a formal examiner of other eye surgeons for the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. Dr Yahya Kamal has been working in Ireland since 1996. He is a fellow of Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in London U.K. He has over 30 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology. He obtained his medical degree in 1989, from the Dow Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan. He has been a member and trainer of the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Dr. Kamal has been an Assistant Master at both the Coombe Women's University Hospital and Rotunda Hospital, between 2008 and 2010. Dr Kamal is actively involved in Irish National Cervical Screening Programme and he is one of the leading consultants at the Colposcopy Unit, Rotunda Hospital Dublin. He performs two Colposcopy Clinics per week at the Rotunda Hospital Dublin and private Colposcopy in his rooms in Hermitage Medical Clinic Dublin. Ms. Emma Cashman

During her extensive ENT training she has worked and studied at numerous centres both nationally and internationally including a year of research in the prestigious Dana-Farber cancer Institute/ Harvard Medical School in 2011. She has multiple peer reviewed publications, - citations, book chapters and has won several awards for her presentations both nationally and internationally. She has been a senior clinical lecturer in postgraduate surgery in Trinity College Dublin since 2015 and was awarded an assistant professorship in 2018. She worked as a consultant in Tallaght University Hospital from 2015-2017 and as a consultant in the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital's from 2017-present. She is a member of the RSM London, RAMI & RCSI. Emma offers a rapid, comprehensive service encompassing all aspects of ear, nose throat disorders and can currently offer appointments within a 1-2 week timeframe.
