As a hard-core functional genomics lab, we have been developing innovative genome profiling and engineering approaches to delineate how the changes of chromatin modification and structure impact spatial-temporal gene expression program. As a group of enthusiastic cell biologists, we seek to understand the gene regulation mechanisms underlying cell fate control in development, regeneration, and human diseases, including muscular dystrophy, limb ischemia, aging and cancer. Our long-term goal is to develop predictive models of gene expression control and to advance regenerative biology and medicine... Dr. Yarui Diao's lab website at Duke.
