Andrew R. Gironda

Andrew R. Gironda is an incoming freshman that has joined the Chambers Research team. He is a graduate from Patrick F. Taylor Science and Technology academy and is planning to major in mechanical engineering here at UL Lafayette. He is also currently in the honors program at UL Lafayette.

Atiqur Rahaman

Md Atiqur Rahaman is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering with a major in Electrical Engineering. He has completed his Bachelor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. Afterward, he acted as a Lecturer of Southern University in Bangladesh for almost 4.5 years. After spending that many years, he has resolved to follow up on his aspiration for higher studies in the US.

Caine Cormier

Caine Cormier is a senior majoring in electrical engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During his time at UL Lafayette, Caine has worked as a research apprentice in the UL Department of Mechanical Engineering Solar Thermal Applied Research and Testing (START) Lab researching concentrated solar power technology. He has also completed an internship at CLECO Power LLC researching and field-testing drone technology for commercial use. Caine is also a member of the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers. Caine plans to graduate in May 2021 with a B.S in Electrical Engineering and afterwards he plans are to pursue a career as an electrical engineer at a power company within Louisiana.

Deepak Jain

Deepak Jain is pursuing Ph.D in System Engineering concentration in Mechanical Engineering at University of Louisiana, Lafayette. He did his Masters in Alternative Energy Engineering from Arizona State University and did his thesis related to encapsulant browning of photovoltaic(PV) modules. He worked at TUV Rheinland PTL for a year before deciding to pursue his Ph.D. His research interests are studying long term degradation of photovoltaic modules at UL and do the performance evaluation on Bifacial modules. He is currently working on analyzing and comparing the energy yield of 1.1MW solar photovoltaic systems at UL Lafayette.

Emmanuel Nwogu

Emmanuel Nwogu is a sophomore majoring in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. He is currently conducting research on Internet of Things under the EECE department. He also works in a school team designing a weather balloon where he has assembled, tested, and documented a temperature monitor. Emmanuel is passionate about solving real-life problems with programming while committing to best practices. His interests include embedded systems, Sensors, Android development and Software development with Python, Java, C/C++. He is expected to graduate May 2021.

Ethan Hoggard

Ethan Hoggard is currently a sophomore perusing a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computer Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is expecting to graduate in 2023 with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. Born in Utah, he moved to Louisiana and attended Lafayette High School. During high school he took 4 years of Computer Science, establishing his profound interest in computer science and technology. After graduation he plans to pursue a career in the Aerospace field.

Joseph R. Venable

Joseph R. Venable was born in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1999. He is currently attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is expected to graduate in May 2021. In the summer of 2016, he worked as a student intern at BlackHawk Datacom. Since his freshman year, he has volunteered as a peer mentor for the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department mentoring classes like Computer Engineering and Circuits and Signals. He has recently been selected as a LaSPACE LURA scholar where he is currently doing research and simulation studies on the use of Dual Active Bridge power converters in spacecraft.

Lucas Blanchard

Lucas Blanchard is currently working on his Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He began his career in college with a junior level credits, and is currently working on undergraduate research in the study of power system complexity. S.M.Safayet Ullah received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science amd Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2011. He achieved M.Sc. degree in Energy Engineering and Management from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain, in 2013.
