Abdelfattah Soliman

Abdelfattah Soliman is the head of the Center of Excellence at ENRRA. He earned his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from Alexandria University in Egypt, a diploma in international nuclear law from Montpellier University in France, and a fellowship from the World Nuclear University in Sweden. Soliman worked as a reactor physicist, reactor operator, and reactor experimentalist at the Egyptian Second Research Reactor. He also worked as a faculty member at the Nuclear Engineering Department, King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia, where he participated in the ABET accreditation process and strategic projects related to aviation security, oil industry, and nuclear engineering human capacity building. He conducted research in several areas, including nuclear reactor calculations, nuclear technology, modern education pedagogy, sustainability, and knowledge management. Soliman was nominated as a member of the American Nuclear Society Public Communication Committee and Accreditation Policy and Procedures Committee. He is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Abdelfattah Soliman practiced and implemented most of the modern education pedagogy techniques needed for nuclear competency building.

Ayman Elsafty

Mr Ayman El Safty is currently the head of financial affairs at ENRRA. Mr. El Safty joined ENRRA in 2020 when he actively shared in creating and implementing the new integrated management system applied in ENNRA. He also organizes the process of creating the financial department and organization chart for ENRRA Finance Team. He played significant leadership role in integrating the financial and planning functions of the finance department creation. He has many strategic initiatives that have had positive impact on multiple business area like tourism, FMCG, Industrial and Oil & Gas. Driving down costs, increasing revenue and improving overall performance of various business unit. He worked with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop a new leverage policy and share repurchase strategy along with financing strategy to deliver the objectives including implementing internal control system. Previously, Mr. El Safty worked Cost Controller-Finance Director. Mr. El Safty earned his B.S degree in 1997 with Accounting major, and Passed his master in 2011 in Advanced Financial Management, and He is close to obtaining a DBA in Investment and Finance from Cairo University. Mr. El Safty lives in Cairo, Egypt. He is active in the community and has served as a coach for self-define sports.

Dr. Hany Khedr

Dr. Hany Khedr is Head of the Department of Nuclear Safeguards. Prior to this, Dr. Hany Khedr has been working at the ENRRA since 2012. He served as Supervisor of Nuclear Safeguards and Nuclear Security sector since 2017 and as supervisor of Egyptian System of Accounting for and Control of Nuclear Material (ESAC) since 2014. Earned the bachelor degree of Physics, at the Faculty of Science, Ain shams University. In 2014, awarded the title of PhD in Physics, specializing in Nuclear Physics, following studies at the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University. Started his career in the fields of nuclear safeguards and nuclear security in 2006. Joined the Egyptian state system of accounting and control of nuclear material in 2006, where served as safeguards inspector between 2006 and 2012, and after that as senior safeguards and Physical Protection expert at ENRRA. Hany Khedr will continue his Commitment to strengthening nuclear safeguards and accounting of nuclear material in the country

Hany Sallam

Hany Sallam, received his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering with honor degree in faculty of electronic engineering, Menoufia University, Egypt, in 1995. He received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Menoufia University in 2002 and Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Cairo University in cooperation with Genova University, Italy in 2010. In 2015, he awarded the degree of associate professor of computer engineering and its application in nuclear field. Since 1997, He worked as reviewer, assessor, and inspector for instrumentation and control systems of nuclear and radiation facilities in Egypt: research reactors, fuel manufacture pilot plant, gamma irradiators, radioisotope production facility and electron beam accelerator. He share in many committees for developing national regulations. Also, participated as an examiner in licensing of the research reactors operation staff. In 2015, he was assigned as lead inspector in the central administration of inspection and enforcement, nuclear installation safety sector. Recently, in 2020 selected as director of the review and assessment and licensing department, nuclear installation safety sector, in Egyptian nuclear and radiological regulatory authority ENRRA.

Mahmoud Gad Shehata

Mahmoud Gad Shehata appointed as head of the Department of Nuclear Security on 1 February 2018. joined ENRRA in 2012. In 2004, awarded the title of Physicist, specializing in Nuclear Physics, following studies at the Faculty of Science, Cairo University. In 2016, awarded the title of PhD in Physics, specializing in Nuclear Physics, following studies at the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University. In 2016 Awarded a diploma in advanced security systems certified by BETC. started career in the fields of nuclear safeguards and nuclear security in 2006. joined the Egyptian state system of accounting and control, in 2006, where served as safeguards inspector between 2006 and 2012, and after that as senior safeguards and Physical Protection expert in ENRRA. Then served as the Director of the Nuclear Security Support Centre in 2015. Mahmoud Gad will continue his Commitment to strengthening nuclear security regime in the country.

Mahmoud Hasan

Dr. Mahmoud has a BSc, MSc and Ph.D. in chemistry from Faculty of Science, Ain Shames university. He was working at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) from 1995 to 2020. Dr. Mahmoud served as a professor of Radioactive Waste Management since 2015 with over 24 years of experience in the field of treatment of radioactive waste and a dynamic 16- years' experience in the field of radiation protection, radioactive waste management and waste safety at EAEA. In 2013, he was appointed as a head for Nuclear Safety Research & Radiation Emergency Department, EAEA. In 2018, he was appointed as a head for Analytical Chemistry and Control Department, EAEA. From 2008 to 2019, he served as a senior operator at the EAEA centralized radioactive waste management facility of Egypt and in 2020, he acted as a manager for the EAEA centralized radioactive waste management facility of Egypt. From 2003 to 2020 he participated in coordinating a huge two international project between Egypt and USA regarding the life cycle of radioactive sealed sources in Egypt, namely IMPRSS project, (Integrated Management Program for Radioactive Sealed Sources in Egypt) and ARPRSS project (Amnesty Recovery Program for Radioactive Sealed Sources in Egypt). In 2004, Dr. Mahmoud and through the IMPRRS project appointed as a group leader for upgrading, securing and modernizing the old regulatory Body of Egypt (The Executive Office for Radiation Protection, EORP). In 2005, he introduced the IAEA RAIS database to the EORP for the national radioactive sealed sources registry. Dr. Mahmoud continues his work regarding radiation safety during the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Dr. Mahmoud was born in 1970; he is married and has three children

Mohamed GAHEEN was the commissioning manager of ETRR-2 core modification (2011- 2012) and manager of ETRR2 project final acceptance (2015) and continues achievements of development of human resources and participation in IAEA expert missions.

Mohammed El khodary

Mohamed El Khodary is the Head of the Security Department at ENRRA. He Earned B. A. in Police Science and Bachelor of Law at the police academy, Cairo, Egypt in1986. He is a retired Police General. He worked for the Ministry of Interior for more than 32 years in several areas including State Security, and Tourism and Antiquities Police. He has a solid experience in political security, criminal investigations, insurance of tourism facilities and tourism groups.

Mr. Ashraf Kamoon

Mr. Ashraf Kamoon is the Head of Inspection and Enforcement Department, nuclear installation safety sector. He was born in 1968, graduated from Mechanical design and Production Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Helwan University (Class 1991). In 1993, Mr. Ashraf Kamoon started his career with Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority, where he was employed for the second research Reactor (ETRR-II), as he participated in reactor design, construction, and commissioning. From 1998 to 2012 he was appointed as maintenance head of ETRR-II. In 2012, he joined the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) as senior inspector. He was appointed as a head of Inspection and enforcement department, nuclear installation safety sector in 2014. While holding this position, he contributed to the IAEA's actions to assist the member states in strengthening the global nuclear safety regime, as he appointed as IAEA External Expert. In 2019, he was appointed as nuclear consultant for King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia) to construct its first Research Reactor. He holds Master degree in Mechanical engineering from Cairo University

Prof. Samy Shabaan - Chairman

Prof. Soliman Served as an Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Professor; at the Reactor Physics Department of EAEA, Then he served as the head of the Reactor Physics Department, Also he Served as the vice chairman & Chairman of the Reactors Division, During this Period he Served as a Supervisor of the second Egyptian Research Reactor ETRR-2 Complex. Then he served as the Chairman of the Nuclear Research Center which was the oldest and biggest center at Egyptian Atomic Energy Agency, Also he held the position of Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority for Training and International Cooperation since February 2014 till Jan 2017.

Prof. Usama Seddik

Prof. Usama Seddik is the Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Nuclear & Radiological Regulatory Authority "ENRRA". Prof. Seddik served as an Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Professor at the Experimental Physics Department- NRC- the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority "EAEA", Then he served as a Supervisor of Cyclotron Project and as the Head of the Experimental Nuclear Physics Department , and Vice Chairman of Fundamental Nuclear Science Division , Also he Served as a Supervisor of the First Egyptian Research Reactor ETRR-1. Then he served as the Chairman of the Nuclear Research Center- NRC- EAEA, Prof. Seddik has extensive experience for more than 25 years in experimental nuclear physics, and more than 10 years in managerial level at EAEA and ENRRA. Prof.Seddik has over 50 publications published in the most distinguished National & International Journal in Thermal Diffusion Techniques for Isotope and Gas Separation, Meason Production using Nuclear Interactions at Medium Energy, and Detection of Nuclear Particles using Passive Techniques.

Sahar Ahmed

Sahar Ahmed is the Head of Administrative Affairs and Human Resource Department at ENRRA. She has over 15 years of professional and academic experience in the field of Strategic Human Resource Management, Organization Change and Development, Employee Relations, and Leadership. She earned the bachelor degree in Accounting in 2001, bachelor degree in Business Administration in 2002, from the Faculty of Commerce, Tanta University. Then she started her postgraduate studies in Human Resource Management (HRM) in 2006, where she earned an HR diploma and MBA in 2008, MSC. In 2010, and Ph.D. in 2016 from Cairo University. She has worked as an Assistant Professor, lecturer, Head of Business Department at Arab Open University and the British University in Egypt. Sahar is an expert in the preparation and execution of educational and training programs. Her industrial and unique academic experience has helped her to devise and conduct numerous professional educational and training programmes, utilizing latest technologies and techniques to provide an engaging and inspiring teaching environment. Tamer Kamara is currently the head of legal affairs department at Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA). He joined ENNRA on December 26, 2019. He handles all lawsuits filed by or against AUC in the Courts, reviews various kinds of agreements including, but not limited to, service, consultancy, supply, settlement, and cooperation agreements, in addition he drafts and reviews ENRRA regulations whether technical or administrative or financial regulations. He also liaises with the university's external legal counsels and provides legal advice to the top management as well as ENRRA's sectors and departments. Before joining AUC, Kamara worked as Senior Lawyer in the Office of the General Counsel and Compliance at The American University in Cairo (AUC) and as a Senior Legal Officer at the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority and as a Legal Officer at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority. He also worked as a lawyer at Samir Hafez law firm. He obtained his LL.B in Law from the Faculty of Law at Alexandria University in 2007. He obtained his LL.M in International and Comparative Law from IU Robert H. McKinney in 2013.

Wael El Gammal

Currently, Wael is working as the Head of the Nuclear Safeguards and Nuclear Security Sector at the Egyptian and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA). He earned the Bachelor degree of science (physics) in 1987 from the faculty of Science, Cairo University. Since 1991 he joined the Department of Safeguards and Physical Protection at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority. Since 1993 he started participating in the activities related to implementation of safeguards in Egypt. In 2001 he earned the PhD in nuclear physics from Cairo University. He was one of the main persons who established the Egyptian System of Accounting-For and control of Nuclear Materials (ESAC). He was the executive supervisor for ESAC during 2007-2008 at EAEA, and 2014-2017 at ENRRA. He resolved many issues on the national and international levels related to safeguards and nuclear security during his work. Wael is still employing his experience to implement the regulatory functions related to nuclear safeguards and nuclear security, and to fulfill the international safeguards obligations.

Yasser Lasheen

ENRRA Head of Assessment and Licensing Department Dr. Yasser LASHEEN assumed office on November 1st, 2020. Dr. Yasser has a BSc, MSc and Ph.D. in chemistry from Faculty of Science, Benha University. He was working at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) from 1994 to 2020. Dr. Yasser served as a professor of Radioactive Waste Management since 2016 with over 25 years of experience in the field of in the field of Radiochemistry and Radiation detection and measurement and more than 16- years' experience in the field of radiation protection, radioactive waste management and waste safety at EAEA. From 2013 to 2020, he served as a senior manager at the EAEA centralized radioactive waste management facility of Egypt. From 2003 to 2020 he participated in coordinating two international cooperation projects between Egypt and USA regarding the life cycle of radioactive sealed sources in Egypt, namely IMPRSS project, (Integrated Management Program for Radioactive Sealed Sources in Egypt) and ARPRSS project (Amnesty Recovery Program for Radioactive Sealed Sources in Egypt). From 2015 to 2020, Dr. Yasser was staff member of technical committee for radiation measurement at Egyptian Organization of Standard (EOS). He also was a counter part of IAEA RAF 9055 and RAF 9066 projects related to nuclear and radiological emergency preparedness and response, from 2016 to 2020. Dr. Yasser was staff member of branched committee of radiological and nuclear national Emergency plan (preparedness and Response) at ENRRA, from 2016- 2020. From 2018 to 2020, Dr. Yasser was participated in Emergency Preparedness and Response Scientific Committee (EPReSC) at IAEA Dr. Yasser continues his work regarding radiation safety in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Dr. Yasser was born in 1970; he has four children

Zakaria Ahmed

ENRRA Head of Inspection and Enforcement Department. Zakaria assumed office on November 1st, 2020.He has a BSc in physics and MSc in nuclear physics. Zakaria has Ph.D. in nuclear physics from Faculty of Science- AL- Azhar University. Zakaria served as an Assistant Professor of nuclear physics in 2020. From 2014 at ENRRA: Supervisor of inspection work, developing future plans for inspection work as well as setting timelines for them in accordance with work requirements, distributing the inspections to the inspection team according to the experience of the team members or the nature of the materials and also determine the devices and equipment to be used in the mission in order to obtain the required information. From 2012 at ENRRA: senior inspector, responsible for the inspection file, provides technical support to stakeholders and conducts required measurements and analysis during inspection to obtain the required information, detector experience (operation, maintenance, modeling and field measurements) for gamma spectroscopy (HPGe, NaI and CdZnTe) and neutron detection (AWCC), radiation protection "dose assessment, shielding calculations…..etc. Started career in the fields of nuclear safeguards and nuclear security in 2006, joined the Egyptian state system of accounting and control of nuclear materials, where served as safeguards inspector between 2006 and 2012 at EAEA.
