Forward Innovation Center is Northeast Ohio's newest manufacturing and distribution hub, prepared to transform the region and set companies up for optimal success. Its ground-up construction will feature state-of-the-art facilities with sustainable, clean energy and technology in every aspect... The Ford stamping plant in Walton Hills opened in 1954 and was once the largest employer in town. It fabricated parts for vehicles including the Ford Ranger, Crown Victoria, and Econoline, before the 2.1-million-square-foot facility was shuttered in 2014. The Brook Park site, formerly known as Ford Cleveland Engine Plant No 2, opened in 1955 and made engines for Thunderbirds, Mustangs and a range of pick-up trucks. The 1.7-million-square-foot facility closed in 2012. The partnership to purchase and develop these historically significant sites began in June 2021.
