Abdel Raouf Shams joined Ibrachy & Dermarkar in 2003. Abdel Raouf Shams ‘s main area of practice is litigation, with a special focus on civil, taxation and commercial disputes. His work includes customs and administrative disputes. Shams is also specialized in criminal law.

Amr joined I&D in April 2023 as a Junior Associate in the Firm's Procedural Department. Prior to joining I&D Amr interned at several top-tier law firms in Egypt.
He works on different matters including, but not limited to drafting and reviewing various types of agreements, conducting legal research, providing legal opinions and advice on companies' incorporation, corporate process (i.e., liquidation, restructuring, drafting EGAMs, OGAMs, BODs, etc.). His work also includes handling regulatory matters and assisting in the due diligence process.

Dr. Amir Nabil is a Partner at I&D with international experience in trade and commercial legal matters, including I.P. licensing, franchise, and other forms of commercial agreements. He is among the few Egyptian experts in competition and economic regulation, handling complex merger and acquisition cases and related economic matters in the field. Dr. Amir has advised leading digital companies on compliance with data protection regulations in the MENA region and has solid experience in advising businesses in the pharmaceutical, digital, and tech industries.
He has litigated landmark cases in broadcasting sports rights and restrictive licensing practices of rights owners, successfully winning several cases against companies such as beIN Sports, Lagardere, C.A.F., and FIFA.
Dr. Amir is among the rare experts in the area of merger and acquisition control.
Throughout his practice in London, he advised international clients on their merger transaction under the EU merger control regulations in the banking and maritime sectors. He also advised clients under the COMESA merger rules. As a chairman of the Egyptian Competition Authority, he reviewed merger and acquisitions in the digital, food and healthcare sectors. During his tenure, he drafted Egypt first merger control chapter. He also advised clients in relation to the acquisition of IP-related rights. He drafted merger remedies in mega transactions helping clients to secure approvals for their transactions. He is among the rare experts in the area of pharmaceutical regulations and has assisted clients in this said sector in relation to their commercial agreements under international trade laws and regulations.

Dr. Essam Fayed is a Senior Associate at I&D. Before joining I&D, Dr. Essam was the general manager of the legal affairs in Misr Bank and led a team of lawyers and managers, He has More than 34 years of experience in Legal practice for many banks and leading law firms with a special focus on banking, labor law, judicial fees, and administrative disputes. He assists major multinational companies in different areas.
Dr. Sherif El Atfy is a partner at I&D and head of the Energy Law Department, with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector. He has advised on a range of matters related to hydrocarbon business operations, including farm out, seismic, concession, joint operating, and deal agreements.

Kamal Sherif is an Associate at I&D. Kamal has more than eight years of experience in the field of both litigation and arbitration. He has a wide range of expertise in litigatory matters in Egypt and UAE. Kamal handles litigation matters in various areas of law such as employment law, criminal law, civil law, and administrative law. Kamal handles client meetings, negotiations, and drafting of different types of legal memorandums in relation to arbitration cases.
Kamal also serves clients by providing them with legal opinions, legal research and advising them on the best course of action in various legal cases.

Before joining I&D Law Firm in 2024, Laila commenced her career at two Law Firms in Cairo honing and enriching her legal skills. She was engaged in several aspects of legal research, conducting legal due diligence on companies, drafting and revising required agreements of various nature and documents of general corporate governance, financial mortgage, consumer finance and leasing industries for various securitization transactions. Laila's academic prowess anchors in a background of L.L.B from the United Kingdom coupled with an accelerated L.L.B Law degree from Cairo University. During her studies, she interned at ExxonMobil Egypt Law Department. As part of the Energy team, Laila assisted in advising clients on matters related to upstream, midstream and downstream operations in addition to renewables projects. Laila is currently enhancing her capabilities by undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Exam to register herself as a Solicitor in the United Kingdom in addition to being an Egyptian registered lawyer.

Mag. Mona O. Abdel Hafiz is the Head of the Corporate Procedural Department. Her practice areas include corporate, employment, entertainment, and sports law. She has experience advising both Egyptian and foreign clients on corporate formation, registration, and licensing, as well as joint venture agreements, liquidation, and transfer of shares.
Mag. Mona is an experienced legal advisor in labor and employment and social insurance law matters, representing private sector employers in labor relations and employment law issues.

Mohamed Ibrahim is an experienced lawyer who has worked with several leading law firms in Egypt. He joined our Firm in 2014. His practice areas include Litigation, Commercial and Corporate Law, with a special focus on Labor Law, Real Estate and Lease Disputes, social insurance, and notary office procedures.
Mounir has been an associate in the Competition, Trade & Data Protection Department in I&D since September 2022.
Mr. Ahmed El Said is an experienced lawyer whose practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, particularly concerning taxes, real estate, customs, employment, administrative decisions, administrative contracts, commercial agencies, distribution, and franchise contracts.

Walid Hafez is a Senior Attorney at I&D. He worked at several Law Firms prior to joining our Firm, which allowed him to gain various experiences in different fields of law.
