Since 2007, Rich is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM). Dr. Atkins is American Management Association (AMA)-certified faculty and is also a Vistage-certified speaker.
Rich also presents frequently on MEDIA TERRORISM™. As a subject matter expert, he has made television appearances, and has been quoted in numerous newspaper and magazine articles. His doctoral dissertation on canine learning styles was the subject of an article titled "One Size Does Not Fit All" in the March 2006 issue of Dog Fancy Magazine.
Personal
Dr. Atkins's other interests include: motorcycling (200K+ miles), cigars, cheese, theater, genealogical research (12 generations of family tree so far…), and music (electric bass guitar and the Chapman Stick Touchboard). His travel destinations have included motorcycling in 26 countries on Earth.

Vanessa Miller is a Learning and Development Consultant with extensive experience in instructor-led, virtual, and in person training as well as all facets of the instructional design process. Whether it's skills training or knowledge transfer, Ms. Miller's learner centric approach successfully engages participants. Vanessa is retired from Federal Service with the Transportation Security Administration where as a Training Specialist, she oversaw the training requirements for 2000 Transportation Security Officers at JFK Airport, conducted procedural audits, managed 15 Security Instructors, delivered skills training and recertification testing.
Her hobbies include reading, yoga, and meditation. She currently lives in New York City.
