Dick Glaunert is known as "Mr. Sunshine" to all of our Sunshine residents. As Chief Happiness Officer, Mr. Glaunert makes resident satisfaction his top priority, and fields questions, concerns and comments from residents every day.

Mr. Matthews has over 25 years experience in accounting, finance and taxation, including 10 years in the senior housing and property management fields. He has served as COO of Pacific Coast Management Group since 2004 where he developed in-house property management expertise. He successfully ran the operations for 18 commercial properties, and oversaw third-party management of of 24 senior housing properties.
Mr. Matthews has an M.B. A. from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, and is a licensed California CPA and a Charted Global Management Accountant.
Mr. Matthews has previously served on the Advisory Board of Sunshine Retirement Living and as Corporate Secretary prior to expanding his role as chairman and managing Sunshine's Irvine, CA office.

Very nice tour. We are trying to find a place for our mom and dad, but having a tough time because they need to be separated due to my father needing memory care. We met with the sales rep that gave us many ideas and suggestions as to how we should go about this. We never felt pushed like other places. She listened to our needs and was generally concerned about our situation. Waterford is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and the residents looked happy. It was something to think about for the future

As President of Sunshine Retirement Living, Mr. Serrano is focused on corporate strategy and development, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and special projects. Mr. Serrano is also a co-founder and managing principal of Westbrook Management, which provides full-service real estate investment management and consulting.
Previously, Mr. Serrano served as Senior Vice-President Business and Corporate Development for Boingo Wireless. During his eight year tenure at Boingo, Mr. Serrano led the company's effort to develop wholesale relationships with telecom operators worldwide, negotiating dozens of carrier agreements in every continent. He was also in charge of Boingo's M&A strategy. Mr. Serrano was part of the team that took the company public in 2011 (NASDAQ WIFI).
Prior to Boingo, Mr. Serrano held a range of management consulting positions specializing in the telecommunications industry at international firms McKinsey & Company and J.P Morgan Chase. He began his career as an analyst consultant for the Spanish Telecom Regulatory Commission.
Mr. Serrano holds an M.S. in telecommunications engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain, and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA.

Ms. Hasso passed in 2015 and will be forever missed by all those whose lives she helped change for the better. Sunshine Retirement Living continues forward with the vision she shaped over her 20 years of experience in the senior housing industry through her years serving on the Board of Directors of Holiday Retirement Corp. (1995-2006) and Hawthorn Retirement Group.
Through various entities, Ms. Hasso was affiliated with the ownership of 27 senior housing properties. In 2004, Ms. Hasso successfully started another property management company, Pacific Coast Management Group, which directly manages or oversees the management of 45 properties including 11 commercial properties and 24 senior housing properties. Her educational background includes a BA in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, a J.D. from Pepperdine University and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. As our Founder, May Sunshine's vision was to provide world-class service and excellence for all seniors, Sunshine residents, staff and all who visit a Sunshine community. We are grateful to May for setting forth this strong and honorable foundation on which all of Sunshine's communities are built.
