Matt grew up playing at Horton Park Golf Club and Epsom Downs Golf Club, starting as a keen junior golfer with a first handicap of 20, before going on to be a two time Club Champion at Horton and Club Champion at Epsom... His love of golf was soon combined with his passion for teaching, as Matt began junior golf coaching at several local schools. Enjoying the school's coaching, but wanting to progress to teaching in a club environment, the PGA qualification was the obvious next step.
