Amy Morin has over 20 years experience in marketing and communications, with a particular focus on not for profits, strategic philanthropy and corporate social responsibility. Her past experiences include leading the community engagement work at an international school and being the Vice President of Marketing Communications at Hill & Knowlton, where she worked with clients including Sick Kids, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, ParticipACTION and Plan Canada. At CF Canada, she helps lead how the organization tells its story, engages with the community and builds its brand.

Barbara M. Hill

Barbara Hill is President of The Grenview Group - a strategic global business advisory and executive coaching firm built on 30 years of extensive leadership and business management experience in healthcare. Previously, Barbara had a successful corporate career holding many senior positions including President and GM of Baxter Canada. She has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of British Columbia and an Honors Bachelor of Arts from University of Western Ontario. Barbara is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and has served as Chair and Board member in several associations and non-profit organizations ensuring role model governance and oversight.

Cameron Davis

Ian Thompson

Ian Thompson graduated from Dalhousie University and started his career as a reporter with The Chronicle Herald. He's Executive-in-Residence, Cox & Palmer, Halifax, a former owner of MT&L Public Relations, a former executive with both TransCanada PipeLines and Emera Inc., former Ottawa representative for the Province of the Nova Scotia and former deputy minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism. He has been involved with local, national and international charitable and business organizations. He's a past president of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the International Cystic Fibrosis Association; a past chair of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and of the Atlantic Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. He served on the boards of Dalhousie University, IWK Hospital, Neptune Theatre, CAA Maritimes, Nova Scotia Business Inc and Innovacorp. He's a member of the College of Fellows of the Canadian Public Relations Society, a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors at the University of Toronto, has an honourary degree from Dalhousie and is a recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal. He re-joined The Chronicle Herald in September, 2011 and in 2013 received an Atlantic Journalism Award for "best commentary all media."

Kathryn Deuchars

Dr. Deuchars is Senior Manager, Business Development and Research, at Ontario Genomics, where she works to facilitate genomic innovation in health care. Dr. Deuchars has over twenty years of experience in the field of biotechnology innovation, venture financing and health technology commercialization. She is also Director of the Ontario Personalized Medicine Network, a stakeholder volunteer group formed to enable the adoption of personalized medicine technologies in Ontario to improve health. Previously Dr. Deuchars was President and CEO of Light Matter Interaction (formerly Attodyne Inc.), a Toronto start-up medical/industrial device company. Before that Dr. Deuchars focused on the venture financing of early-stage biomedical innovations as Chief Operating Officer of University Medical Discoveries as well as on later stage investment opportunities for Lumira Capital (formerly MDS Capital). Dr. Deuchars also spent six years in the biotechnology industrial sector as a research scientist at NPS Allelix Inc. Dr. Deuchars earned her Master's and PhD degrees from the University of Toronto, and an Hon. B.Sc. from Western University.

Kelly is a proven leader with over 25 years of experience in the charitable, health and public sectors. Kelly joined Cystic Fibrosis Canada as the President and Chief Executive Officer in June 2018. In her tenure with the organization, she led the development of a new strategic plan, navigated through challenges due to the pandemic and most recently was part of a wonderful success story with the approval of a transformational drug for people diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Kelly was previously with Ovarian Cancer Canada as the Vice-President, National Programs and Partners. Kelly holds both master's and bachelor's degrees from Queen's University.

Leona Pinsky - Chairman

Leona Pinsky trained as a lawyer and practised for several years before turning her attention to volunteer work. She has been an active volunteer leader in her community for over thirty years. She is co-founder of the 65 Roses Gala and GearUp4CF which have raised over $7 million for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Leona joined the board of Cystic Fibrosis Canada in 2012 and most recently was the Vice-Chair. In addition to fundraising, Leona's board interests include best practices in governance and ensuring the organization includes and is directed by the needs of the people living with CF and their families. Leona has also served on the board of the BC Centre for Children's Hearing and Speech and on advisory committees at BC Children's Hospital, BC Children's Hospital Foundation, Vancouver Talmud Torah Elementary School and the Canadian Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University. Leona is a CF parent.

Nabila Mohammed, an experienced finance leader specialized in the not-for-profit sector, joins Cystic Fibrosis Canada as the Chief Financial Officer. With extensive experience leading a breadth of corporate and business functions in the healthcare space, Nabila is a collaborative leader who looks for opportunities to drive strategic value. In her most recent role as Director, Finance and Corporate Services at the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, Nabila led the finance, information technology, human resources and operations portfolios. During her tenure there, she successfully spear-headed substantial organization-wide improvements and initiatives. Prior to this, Nabila held various roles at the SickKids Research Institute where she supported world renowned researchers, provided subject matter expertise on finance transformation initiatives, and led a high-performing team of finance professionals.

Robert Sankey

Analyst, Robert Sankey served as Director of Research for four years and was appointed a Vice President of Burgundy Asset Management Ltd in May 2011. In December 2016, Robert was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2019. Robert has 20 years of experience in the investment and broader financial services industry. He joined Burgundy in May 2005 to focus on performance measurement and firm-wide compliance initiatives. In February 2007, Robert joined the Investment Team as an Investment Analyst and has focused on Emerging Markets equities, Canadian equities and fixed income. In addition to his role as Investment Analyst, Robert served as Director of Research for four years and was appointed a Vice President of the firm in May 2011. In December 2016, Robert was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2019. Prior to joining Burgundy, Robert spent four years with Russell/Mellon Analytical Services, where he served as Manager of the Performance and Analytics Group. Earlier in his career, Robert spent two years working as a Fund Accountant with CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services. Robert received a Bachelor of Science in Forestry in 1997 from the University of British Columbia and was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2004. In 2018, he completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Robert currently serves as a Director for Cystic Fibrosis Canada and is a member of YPO International, Maple Leaf Chapter. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto CFA Society.

A seasoned business leader with a talent for management, Ron Anderson is the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Nexus Systems Group Inc., a specialized business and information technology consulting company. A steadfast supporter of the cystic fibrosis community, Ron brought his skills to the position of President and Board Chair of the Cystic Fibrosis Canada Toronto & District Chapter in 2005. Stuart Hodge is the President and owner of Koallo Inc., a domain name registration and managed services company based in Ottawa. Originally from the United Kingdom he began his technical career with ten years as a member of the Royal Air Force and then as a self-employed consultant. Stuart has two nieces who have Cystic Fibrosis and has been involved in fundraising since moving to Canada in 2002 including events such as Great Strides and the Ottawa 65 Roses Gala. As an active volunteer, he is past President of the Ottawa Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
