Throughout David's career he has worked as a teacher, Curriculum Lead and in two large schools, held Curriculum Director roles. He was also on attachment to the Advisory Service where he introduced the National Curriculum.
In retirement, he works for an anti-violence charity called Stand Against Violence and presents illustrated sessions across the North of England.
David has been a Governor and then Chair of Governors at a small school not unlike Leeming and Londonderry.

Jessica has 10 years experience as a manager in the Local Authority. Currently, Jessica manages a team of 14 training officers who deliver training interventions throughout the Council, and also sell training to other local authorities, schools, charities and businesses. Prior to this role Jessica worked in North Yorkshire Education Services managing a team who sold bespoke services to schools and other educational settings, meaning she has a strong understanding of the education sector. During her career, Jessica has worked as an HR Adviser, Workforce Development Adviser, Customer Retention Manager and Learning & Development specialist.
Jessica's mix of HR, training, education and children and young people's experience means that she is able to make an active contribution to the Local School Committee.
Kellie was appointed as a parent governor in 2021 and then most recently appointed to sit on LSC for Brompton-on-Swale. She currently has one son at school with her youngest due to start next year.
Kellie works within Medical Education Governance at a local NHS trust supporting junior doctors.
Kellie spends her weekends with her boys and all the sports clubs they are attached too!
