SOUNDWELD

Soundweld is a small company based just outside Newmarket. The company was officially registered in August 1967 and has been trading ever since. The work carried out in the early years was mainly concerned with light engineering contracts and the occasional repair of a cracked bell... Soundweld is a company that specialises in the repair of cracked bells and is proud to be the only one of its kind in the UK... Over the years the process of repairing bells by welding was developed and in 1988 the company carried out the repair of the three and a quarter ton "Great Dunstan" from Canterbury Cathedral. This was to prove the springboard for the widespread welding of cracked bells both nationally and internationally. The repair of bells by welding is a service that preserves the country's heritage, something that we are proud to be involved in.
